"I accept me for who I am and you will have to do the same. "

If you're a wealthy supermodel then it won't be a problem.

"I like music, pool, dancing, hangin' out at home, watchin tv, movies...it's whatever. I never get bored. Like to do prertty much anything. Why this part has to be filled in I have no idea. It's not like I can't tell you later."

It's a catch-22. If you don't fill it in I'll have no reason to contact you. But if you do fill it in I'll have plenty of reason not to contact you.

"i want to b a nurse some day hopefolly (lol) and basicly live life to the fullest most boys or should i say men have never met a man like me"

Had to look and see if I had changed my preferences.

"I'am happy, energetic, funny; love hip hop music, dancing, shooting pool, outdoor's. I'am looking for someone to go out and have fun with, nothing serious right now, possibly in the future; someone who loves kid's. I need someone who is financially secure, who now's how to treat a woman "

Yet another for the "apostrophically challenged" file.

I'd call it another apostrophe catastrophe....

I sure hope that nobody recognizes their profile on here.

I never use profiles from this site. As a matter of common courtesy, I think it would be insensitive and inappropriate to bash one of our own.

I also never use profiles from here. And I try to make a point to use profiles from people who are not active on the site from which I take them. However having sorted through a few of these I doubt they have ever even read their own profiles much less would recognize them on a different site.

You guys are true gentlemen! flowerforyou  I'm not exactly a box of rocks on the intelligence scale, but I'm pretty sure you could find PLENTY of idiocy in my profile...so thanks for giving me a break! (To be fair...writing about yourself is HARD!)

I think this thread has evolved somewhat. It's not just idiocy (although there is an endless supply of pure idiocy out there), it's just as much about finding a punchline. Lex is the master at this. I don't know where that man's head goes to see things from the angle he sees them.

Not even going to TOUCH "where that man's head goes" but it's HILARIOUS all the same! You keep up nicely, tngxl65! You both have made this very entertaining! (Which really makes me wonder about my own warped sense of humor, but oh well!)

That's good to hear, Lex.

Some of them seemed familiar to me. laugh

Well regardless, after reading through these and of course laughing so hard my face hurts, I have become rather self-conscious about my own profile and went back over it hoping to correct some of the mistakes I observed in this thread. LOL scared

good times

I totally can understand that!

But that's more related to the whole idea that so many people use the same phrases, ad nauseum, in profiles.

If there's a message buried somewhere far beneath this whole thread it's this: When I read a profile, I want to know something about the person that wrote it. And I'm not entirely sure that an interminable series of passe cliches that have been used by a billion other people, in the exact same phraseology, is the best way to achieve that.

In other words, if I want to know about someone, I want to know about them -- not about which words they've seen repeated over and over again in an infinite number of other profiles....

So if I tell you I'm "cute! fun! and seriously interested in whatever you are!" you'll think I'm a copy-cat???

Wow...independent thought as a REQUIREMENT of a site like this?

I'm pretty optimistic, but you challenge even my paradigms!

"Imagin the world without anyone, the tree without leafs,Sea without water, imagine only you on the earth!!hmm Life would have been dull and uninteresting without others."

Apparently you've never met my former in-laws....

"tell more about myselfwhat i likeand what i hate"

Are you talking to yourself in your own profile? I wonder if there's a psychiatric term for that?

"Hi there! I see that my headline was an effective marketing tool."

Yes, I'm curious about the "Buy one, get one free" offer. How does that work?

"Sometimes it's best to meet and not have preconceived ideas of the other person."

Sometimes it's best to throw yourself on the grenade and spare the platoon.

"must a person full humour and nice block that can make laugh 24 hrssomebody that is pleasant, kind, funny.dislikes, aspirations, the type of person you'd like to meet etc."

"Stream of consciousness" really doesn't work too well as a profile....

Could you please be a little more vague?
