Well....for what it's worth....you got my opinion....lol

And I appreciate it! flowerforyou
I'm not actualy planning to start being a tough alpha who alienates people...they never seem to get very far in the long run. But I probably AM a fairly tough (I cry in private, thanks very much!) businesswoman who plays it smart and I still think I'm both honest and genuine.

And that is a fine combination of things to be.

After all...the people you now work for actually came after YOU because of those qualities. bigsmile

I'd sort of forgotten...it was so surreal!

I love my job, though...and I LOVE when I see I'm winning people over who I thought were going to really resist change. It's like a little personal coup...then I tell them 'thank you' and that I appreciate their hard work (which I REALLY do!) and they are virtually putty in my hands. It's a huge compliment in return and an even bigger responsibility to care for those people!

Hard to believe 6 months ago I was so miserable at work when I'm in this euphoric role!

Why do some guys want to 'for old times sakes'? Don't they have any emotions?

This one is kinda tricky.

Yes. Men DO have emotions. The thing is..most of the time, when a man wants to do something ' for old times sake ', he's actually ( without even realizing it most of the time ) looking to feel that emotion again. It could be because he's just lonely at that particular point.

On the other hand...it could be just because the two of you were very compatible in that particular department, and he knows that, for him, it would be well worth doing again as long as there is no commitment involved.

I believe you are right on the money there jag.Cheers to you.

After yesterday's JAG question, I actually DID have to pull out the tough & smart but sweet (stroking an ego-maniac) female personality today.

Meh! Gov't workers who control my agency's money...

THAT is what I was talking about in terms of having to play the game, being smart and 'alpha' in a non-threatening way. Apparently it's working but it is EXHAUSTING to have to deal with people some days!

At least I can still look myself in the mirror and know I was honest and kind. Thanks, for yesterday's input, JAG!

Why do sticky-notes come in so many colors?

Do people actually still use the yellow pages or just the internet to look up phones/addresses/services?

What exactly IS a 'tisket' and/or a 'tasket' that is related to that green and yellow basket in the kid's song???

...and one last question before I go to bed tonight...

Is 'gut feeling' infallible & to what extent?

Why do sticky-notes come in so many colors?

Because people can't be happy with simplicity.

They have to have things their own way.

" I don't like yellow. Why can't they make blue ones instead? "

Around here....the phone book is so thin and easy to use that it's better to just flip through the Yellow Pages to find what you want.

Gut feelings are not completely infallible.

However. They are correct more times than not.

How did Lucy choose her role as a psychiastrist and how did her 5 cent rate get established. Is she an HMO preferred provider?
