Is that what you are doing today? It's windy as heck here...yesterday I drove through snow on my way to ABQ.
It's truly spring!

If I wanted to do one of those SWA "Wanna Get Away" weekends...where would you suggest I go? Not with anyone or anything in particular in mind...just a 'do something crazy and impulsive and see someplace new" kind of weekend?

I know I have been real bad, but I met someone and decided to see where it goes.......so far so good. Went to Vegas for the weekend to spend some time with him, that's where he lives. Got on a plane for the first time in 30 years. I'm happy.

Just when I'm giving up on a situation (and given my rosey outlook on life, that is a really big deal) and deciding to move along, there is newfound hope...

Should I mow the grass tomorrow? It's dead...just needs a haircut of the dried stuff for spring "greening" time.

He doesn't like the idea of cutting grass that isn't green yet. He says it can make it hard for the grass to actually recover since it never actually " dies ". |

I think a little more "OH $#%T! WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?" is probably more accurate...but it was a good close guess - LOL!

That's probably 'real' grass...not this stupid Bermuda stuff. It's greening up from the bottom and it's like a nasty mat of straw on top. Ask him if it matters??? One year, I literally BURNED the grass off...a weird trick I learned from people around here. It takes care of all the thatch, weed seeds, and etc. I haven't done it since but probably should because I had LUSH grass that summer! |
