Should I mow the grass tomorrow? It's dead...just needs a haircut of the dried stuff for spring "greening" time. I work with someone during the Winter that does landscaping during the summer. He doesn't like the idea of cutting grass that isn't green yet. He says it can make it hard for the grass to actually recover since it never actually " dies ". That's probably 'real' grass...not this stupid Bermuda stuff. It's greening up from the bottom and it's like a nasty mat of straw on top. Ask him if it matters??? One year, I literally BURNED the grass off...a weird trick I learned from people around here. It takes care of all the thatch, weed seeds, and etc. I haven't done it since but probably should because I had LUSH grass that summer! Somehow....lighting a fire in the desert just doesn't seem like a good idea....lmao |
