How has Obama tried to cut back on the government? How has he cut back on our foriegn policy? How has he reduced government spending? How has he abolished any unconstitutional laws?

Looks at calendar. He's only been President for 4 weeks!

it matters not

we had 8 years of bush bashers distorting and manipulaing everything

and now its the same people, just on the other side doing the same thing

I'll say the same thing about Obama I said about Bush, he is just a guy doing the best he can. He's gonna do some great things and he's gonna screw up some things

and all the rest is just nutcase partisan drama and propaganda. the sad thing is that some people will fall for it and jump on the bandwagon

I can tell you what he's done to increase government spending during this time. I can also tell you how he is being more aggressive with his foriegn policy. I can also tell you how and where he supported unconstitutional laws. I can tell you where he WANTS to expand the government too...

He's been busy indeed. But i think he's working in the wrong direction. At least for now...

One newscaster commented that o'bama is a, one topic at a time person. He wants to see one thing completely through before addressing another subject.
When asked about another problem needing attention, he supposedly told them he didn't have time for it.
Don't ya' just hate it when, every time you need a cigarette, ya' have to go outside to smoke? I bet it's one long walk to the smoking section up at he White House.

I wish, with all my heart, i could genuinely believe that. I wish i could believe everyone in washinton is doing the best they can to do well for the people adn the republic. Where we have so many conspiracy theorists out there, it is hard to find credible information. My problem is, i try to understand how the system works, good and bad (you know, try to make sense of things). Then i look at our problems. Next i try to figure out how to resolve these problems without creating others.

My biggest problem, and the reason i question things so much, is simple history. I look at how empires start, prosper, and collapse.

So far the most successful societies in history are republics, and are capitalistic. People live the best and have the most freedoms. They fall by economic corruption, and the pushing of socialistic ideals. Then eventually a small group of elites end up ruling. People still survive, but i genuinely fear the fall of the republic. And being convinced it will last forever is irresponsible and historically foolish. Complacency can be harmful.

On day 20, President Bush sent his record-setting $1.6 trillion tax cut plan to Congress.

The rich were the ones who benefited, and need I say our country, eight years later is,,,, well let me just say, "it just barely is."

Hey, cutting taxes worked to stimulate the economy. ROFLMAO...

Lets cut taxes to the rich now and enjoy some more of that trickle down philosophy.

Damn that Obama for trying something different....

Imagine Obama planning to actually use that money and help the common American. They should have worked harder and saved, instead of buying drugs.

yeah. because we totally didn't just come off the biggest peak in our history. oh wait...

tax cuts brought us screaming out of the last recession to new heights. just because the government from that point on set everything up and the people screwed up everything with irresponsibility is not a reason to declare something a failure. Taxes have nothing to do with our current situation.

and btw, when everyone gets a tax cut, EVERYONE benefits. right now, the rich are getting screwed but I guess that's ok to you, isn't it.

On Day 40, President Bush sent his $1.96 trillion (that's 11 zeros) budget for 2002 to Congress. It was hundreds of pages long. Overall, the budget increases spending by 4 percent -- about half as big an increase as his predecessor, Bill Clinton, signed.

The Bush budget included the biggest spending increase ever for education: 11 percent. But the budget also reduces money for research on energy conservation, eliminates funding for an anti-drug program for public housing, and ends a program protecting coastal lands.

700 billion doesnt seem so bad now!noway

it's 787B actually and it does when it's an additional 40% of the federal budget being spent.

oh wait, there was another 350 billion and 75 billion under the current administration's control.

so that's 62% of the budget. ON TOP OF NORMAL SPENDING! explain to me where that's not so large now?

that's one of the pics. It was rampant with the usual neo-con propagandist emails that were going around.
