E harmony says I am not just creative but I live thru my creativity having the heart & soul of an artist. So why is it so hard for me believe that what my last love said? ( That 90% percent of the women out there are at heart monetary, material and out of touch with truely real unconditional love and the other 10% are true,real ladies with a loving heart,soul and spirit.) I am begining to see the truth in her words.

As for creativity, I don't know if that enters into it -- I had two books published last year, have been involved in music in the past, have even done comic strips. Creativity keeps me going. It doesn't mean a thing insofar as impacting on people who might be relationship prospects, though.



I don't have any verifiable statistics -- I suspect the 90% figure is high, but that's not based on anything but observation (limited to my own personal experience) -- my own "research" indicates that most women (disclaimer -- I am only referring to the ones I have known personally in real life) are more interested in changing and manipulating a person than they are in money and materialism, per se -- but I may have dealt with a corrupted sampling.



I would like to believe that, too.



It should be interesting, at any rate, to see how many actually say something vs. how many parrot the tired old platitudes....

There are women out there who are materialistic and opportunistic, and only out to use men for what they can get out of them, then move on to the next, buttttttt ------

What about the men who do the same to the women, use them for sex and whatever else they can get out of them (if the woman has money and they take her to the cleaners financially?) and then kick them to the curb????

I do think the 90% figure is fairly high too, though, would not want to think there are THAT many users/abusers out there.

(I don't know that I can give an impartial answer though as I am a "scammer magnet" right now and the majority of the people who write me are only interested in asking me to send them money. The last dork asked me to open an offshore account for him and I could keep $5000 of the money, sounds like money laundering to me, ummm, nope, not going there.)

I would say the 90% figure is a bit high. But I would also say that a lot of women spout the "looking for Mr. Right, lifetime companion, best friend, love honor and cherish" line but if they were honest with themselves are really looking for someone to put food on their tables and put their kids through college.

oh and btw.. It does appear way to often that women want the following from a guy (reading profiles in other sites)....


a great (not just good) job and make over $100,000
a harley ( bad boy issues)
a good home, toys, quad bikes etc.
a desire to do world travel.
a college education, or more
be a ( should I dare say this) a nice guy, no drama
communication, honesty etc etc

and its usually in that order go figure

I have found I can only speak for myself. I like people in general. I like experiencing the interactions as if there is a gift there for both of us. I have believed in unconditional love since I met my husband around the AA tables more than 20 years ago. I know for a fact if I treat disagreements as the beginning of a win/win dialogue, I end up being satisfied. My wish for you is to meet someone who believes in you for who you are.

E Harmony may work for the Doctor Phil Crowd but for the rest of us in the real world they are about as right as a left turn!

If you havn't noticed E Harmony is one the most costly dating sites out there with match.com and yahoo personals right behind ... and just like any and all dating sites it relies on honesty or truth in advertising... thats the key HONESTY... it is lacking with most people thats why we get bad results.. and yes we all have certain criteria and maybe should be looking at the whole person and not what he or she can do for us..

A little harsh there - I am sure there are women out there looking for that --- but there are also lots of us who support ourselves and don't need a man to support us and our kids are grown.

As far as your list goes, I would start with the bottom one -- communication and honesty. I don't need him to have a home, I have my own, thank you.
I also work and support myself. He doesn't need a college education as long as he can hold a conversation and being able to hold a job would be nice, but in this so-called recession, that isn't possible for all men or women. I judge him more on how he treats me.

Women can want what you described all day long but those are the words of gold diggers and I could NEVER take a woman with that crap in her profile seriously no matter what she said to me because it will always be a suspicion that my money made me more attractive. Sounds like the perfect woman. Nice, dumb, doesn't hang around much, keeps her mouth shut, and has a nice butt.

Nothing wrong with that papersmile but way to often these are the real things they want and even say so.. Not everyone can fit those criteria.. I would think that if he hada good source of income had a decent education, and good communication skills and a loving heart. That would be a good start..Its hard to "measure " up to those other expectations.

Now here it is, I have a guaranteed monthley income which keeps food in my mouth and a roof over my head with just tiny wee bit extra left. But when you are creative to the soul and give of yourself and to others god definitley gives unto you supplying all might need when love is put first.

I have all the ammenities that other people want in there homes, differance is mine may not be brand new but it does exactlly what it is supposed to. I help other people by doing little things for them like being there, giving them repair knowledge hands on and/or even research& location assistance in putting toghether the same ammenities everyone else enjoys. So in return they look out for useful items that a creative jack & jill of all arts & trades can use to skilfully make something that is just as good if not better than the latest & greatest.

I can surely say that god has taken care of my needs. If something gets stolen or eventually breaks down it is not long before he provides a replacement far better than the last. I just traded out a 1989 zenith tv works perfect for a 2006 20in stereo flat screen all I had 2 do was
fix the coax connection on the elec board. That is how 80% of the things god provides come but there is that other 20%. My last love had beautiful clothing, jewelry and everything else A real lady might want. It came on gods time not by the materialistic value system society uses as bases for attraction to one another.

Here is an example most people pour tons of money into a home electronics/entertainment system and have to have the latest thing just because the neighbor does. Not me but having patients is its reward like having a computer that does it all with full version software that needs no addons like the new stuff and a home entertainment system not big screen but excellent
in its performance and audio/video quality which will put even a multi-thousand dollar super high end custom home ratteling auto sound system to shame, cleaner, louder, one has to experiance & can't possibly be decribed.

The possibilities are endless to what one can do with a little effort, creative knowledge & patients, still having all the things others have but without become a slave to a the monetary & material existance as long as they always put love first.

What is the better life one of endless time spent
away from the ones we love for just the latest,things & bling now or one being able to have lots of time with the loved ones in your life, still having those ammenities we all enjoy as god said { he will provide every need for those that put love first and never let monetary/ material want or wealth come before that.
