Having walked trails (literally and figuratively) of all varieties, I am interested in seriously getting to know what they are all about. They are like canvases that have been painted upon, no two canvases alike. Sometimes spending a night or two in a tent leaves me with the awe and the wonder of Creator and Creation. Watching a campfire from the struck match to the burning embers leaves me with the sense of a beginning and an end.
I love being out of doors, as each winter comes, I have more difficulty dealing with the cold weather. I live in Wisconsin and can't afford spending some of these months in a warmer climate.
Why am I on mingle2?
In the winter I miss having productive interactions, whether it be with the forces of nature or the light-hearted meeting of people on trails, at parks, at camp grounds. I came across this on-line site, had a heck of a good time figuring it out. Then when I met the > 50's crowd, I knew I had me something to do for the winter!

I haven't painted in over a year. I didn't realize how much I missed it. I am not even near professional, but I love the feeling I get looking into the canvas (or currently the wood) and bringing it to life.
