What is really ironic is people who judge others, try to tell them how they should live their lives, call them haters, etc. and then post smiling faces and hearts after their declarations as if that puts a halo around their head or makes it alright as if they are spreading love and truth.
I'm not buying it. If a woman wants to live her life subservient and submitting to an invisible god and her husband that is her choice. The only men I have experienced were arrogant, pushy, abusive dishonest, disloyal, disrespectful egomaniacs. Try submitting to that and see how long you last. No thanks. The irony in that is putting men in a god-like position to be served is ingrained in the subconscious so deeply that even today men who marry feel that they own their wives like property. Most won't admit that, but they do. I have absolutely nothing against men, and I don't care how arrogant or egotistical they are, but I would not want to be owned by one. |

Lol I've just gotta say, this is the most fun I've had all day.   I haven't actually fully engaged in a discussion in the religion threads in a while. And it certainly has been interesting (as far as religion threads go)

Yamin, I think you are probably young, first of all, and no doubt a nice person, but you are as indoctrinated into your beliefs as those your disagreeing with, no?

It is as if you want to please EVERYONE. It can't be done. If you ever want to form any close relationships you have to be true to yourself and stand for something that you believe in. If you don't, no body will ever take you seriously or come to know you for who you really are. It is really hard to know what you really think or believe. |

It is as if you want to please EVERYONE. It can't be done. If you ever want to form any close relationships you have to be true to yourself and stand for something that you believe in. If you don't, no body will ever take you seriously or come to know you for who you really are. It is really hard to know what you really think or believe.  Thats because I don't just go along with what everyone else says.And just because someone is saying something I may not agree with doesnt mean they did not make a good point.You make excellent points sometimes.All of you make excellent points sometimes. Just because I discuss the particular beliefs of a religion it does not mean I personally believe that religion. Its not about always about ME. Its comparitive religion. Im not out to prove anything,its just a discussion to me

seems to not judge be to not judge what is right or wrong, so how can one religion say another is wrong and think it hold true to the greatest logic in text is beyond the mortal mind......... Sometimes you are above my head and other times you speak the truth so well. Outside of the basic human rule of not harming others no matter what you think of them, what you said is correct "my right is not your right but it does not make either of us wrong" if a human actually does something itself, as hurting another, it is in delusion, and simply does not have a "point of reference created" within it's mind, of an "two opposite spectrums" yet, or it could harm no living thing...... when and how and what experience for each create such, is only in the day and time of each one's destiny, and why no ACTION could EVER be the guide to what is good and not good..... only each heart know what it like, and NOTHING in any text ever say for anything but to do what it like and want...... prophecies turned into commandments create misery and the only hell on earth. it is only to subvert the "free will" of another for self interest by coercion, manipulation, enticement, deceit, encouragement, PITY the fav, and all such things that seperate all good things from oneself...... just ideas........ |
