OK, not being a parent yet, I may change my opinion if I ever have kids. But I am under the opinion that pot is much less dangerous than some of the legal vices, like tobacco and alcohol, and it is less harmful than most of the prescription meds that are out there. Also, I know from personal experience that pot isn't physically addictive, only mentally/emotionally addictive. There again, much safer than above mentioned vices and drugs. However, because it is illegal, I wouldn't want a child of mine to get caught with it, and I would not want them using it because there is no guarantee that their supplier can be trusted to not lace it with more dangerous substances. However, if they were on a first-name basis with MaryJane, I would prefer that they would tell me, honestly and openly, rather than find out from another parent, or when he or she gets caught by the cops. This really is a multi-faceted, many shades of grey type of question.

Sex is definitely worse than pot.

but from my experience, u can preach all u want about the merits or demerits of pot.

my take from an older perspective that of that old rebel maxine, is let them do it all they want to, and when they r really sick and tired of it, that is when u hit them with all this moralistic crap....the bennies of not doing it.

cause up until that time, they ain't gonna listen, and will do it anyway they can, and u my dear parents, aunts, uncles, friends, grandparents out there reading this post won't catchum cause they r 2 damn smart. and furthermore, sometimes they LIE and it is not on their bed. they lie about everything because that way they can keep doing what they r doing.

Experience is a great teacher....

My oldest son smokes...and honestly he needs it. And he is an adult..well over 21. He should get medicinal pot just for the fact he functions, calms down and is happy when he smokes.
Better for him than any prescription anti anxiety or anything else he has tried over the years...

Bring in a big, huge black guy.
Then I tell my son this....

"This here is Bubba. Now if you don't quit smoking pot; this here big guy will be your cellmate. Every night he'll make you drop ur trousers and bend over. Now remember how I had to hold ur hand when you had those huge turds you couldn't get out cause it hurt so much? Now picture that same effect every night going in and out for a good 20 minutes. So, if you wanna walk down this road.. You best know how not to drop the soap and I pray you never meet Bubba."

well a (cough), i am smokin a joint as i type here at the lakevold library, and the librarian is having a fit. i know not why...well maybe it is because the lakevold police r on their way now, cause i can hear the sirenes a wailin, and a comin down gravel pit road. @100 mph like they always drive.

in fact all of the patrons r a coughin and smokin. and well the place stinks a little.

i doubt it has improved our typing ability, but our logic, reasoning, and happiness is greatly improved.
