Lying is just a way of life. We are taught to lie from infancy be it by ommision or outright falacy. I mean think about it when your little and susie/johnny asks if you like their new dress/toy and you think it sucks if you say so what does your mother do. She tells you thats not nice and to apologize to Susie/johnny and tell them their dress/toy is beautiful/awsome. What does this teach you? It teaches us that it's better to lie than to hurt someone than to tell the truth and be mean. As we get older we twist this logic to benefit us personally as we lie to get out of punishmnet (why hurt yourself with the truth) to gain something we want (why deprive ourselves by the telling the truth). It's human nature to tell the truth we have just taught ourselves to override it and in time the instinct goes away.

I seriously know 2 people that cannot stop lying. They are at the point where they do not even realize theyre doing it and defend themselves to the death when caught.

I know when one of them is lying simply because she gets sooo defensive and starts attacking me for doubting her without ever considering the point Im making.

At the risk of discrediting myself, I would have to say that men probably tend to be bigger liars. We tend to get ourselves mixed up in situations that we should never have been in the first place, and rather than admitting the mistake will try to buy a little wiggle room by creative recollection. Sometimes it works and no one is the wiser, more times than not it compounds things and requires bigger stories to cover up the first one.

Of course, I could be lying about all of this......

That’s actually true. Women tend to hold grudges much longer than men. They will also ostracize other females from their social surroundings and ties by instigating malicious rumors about them as a form of punishment. Men wont do that or certainly not as often.

Well I am a female and trust me I know. You would not be insulting anyone. Men however, have their own vices. It’s a gender issue and how we communicate our distain of one another. Men are more prone to physical attack also. They tend to allow their conflicts to rise to that level much more quickly than women will.
