UPDATE : Im a texas born and bred girl whose relocated to the frigid northern terrain of mn ( B.O.I. and missing my saltwater!). you could consider me an out of doors girl if sitting on my deck or in my garden drinking beer qualifies as outdoorsy....maybe im just a redneck after all...hmm...lol. Actually I thrive on spending most my time out in the sun. im currently living in sin with my favorite mistake and loving it! i work in pharmacy which in truth is really a fairly boring job but the pay and benefits are a blessing in this economy...i make up for my lack of enthusiasm about my hopefully transitional employment in all other areas of my life....besides how many people get to claim they are a legally certified drug dealer? I actually am returning to school to follow ambitions of becoming a translator. I'm human, so that means I'm a full package deal with many flaws, beauties, and beautiful flaws to boot. I'm a very strong personality, but trent has found he can hang better than most and if all else fails there's always grainbelt premium suds and sportsbars. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR ME ON HGTV!
excerpts from my old profile that still apply:
I'm a firm believer that you can learn more about a person in one hour of play than in a lifetime of conversations.im a total beachbum and abhor not living near the ocean. I love to laugh and make the people around me infectious with laughter as well. I'm usually game for anything... I love stimulating conversation over coffee or a gl of wine or my special love potion daquiries, especially when I'm able to learn something new, see a different point of view, or pull a trump card out on ya. Of course like any good island girl or swt alumni I know how to down a few with the boys at the end of the night too. Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder afterall. I am a huge sucker for random acts of kindness and thoughtless acts of beauty and value honesty above all else. I like to immerse myself in "all that artsy fartsy stuff" ; watch a little football ( SKOL VIKINGS/GO HORNS! ), baseball (redsox and twins most def!),soccer and tennis from time to time, but I am not a FANatic; playing pool and cooking are a plus in those I date (I'm a bad in the kitchen when it comes to southern cookin') .I love nothing better than swimming and my flower gardens;im a big animal person...sometimes advocate; I always wish I had more time for museums, art galleries/shows, theatre, concerts etc.... I hope to meet people with an open mind, ambition , motivation and determination in life. I believe in self respect, self honesty and self accountability...and admire that in people i chance upon in life. we all have something to learn about ourselves and those around us from the strangest and most common people in life and i embrace that as fully as im able. I think we all have an endless capacity for growth and connection and sometimes we just have to open our eyes (and more when called for) to see it. im a proactive woman and enjoy that quality in others. you have to take the plunge in order to sink or swim!
Only until this cigarette is ended,
A little moment at the end of all,
While on the floor the quiet ashes fall,
And in the firelight to a lance extended,
Bizarrely with the jazzing music blended,
The broken shadow dances on the wall,
I will permit my memory to recall
The vision of you, by all my dreams attended.
And then adieu,—farewell!—the dream is done.
Yours is a face of which I can forget
The color and the features, every one,
The words not ever, and the smiles not yet;
But in your day this moment is the sun
Upon a hill, after the sun has set.
If I needed you would you come to me,
Would you come to me, and ease my pain?
If you needed me
I would come to you
I'd swim the seas for to ease your pain
In the night forlorn the morning's born
And the morning shines with the lights of love
You will miss sunrise if you close your eyes
That would break my heart in two
The lady's with me now since I showed her how
To lay her lily hand in mine
Loop and Lil agree she's a sight to see
And a treasure for the poor to find
When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain
And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn
They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn
When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing
And you look to the north and a pale moon is rising
And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
In the distance hear the laughter of the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has ped without even a last desperate warning
Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is torn
Look and see her how she sparkles, it's the last unicorn
I'm alive, I'm alive
She'll let you in her house
If you come knockin' late at night
She'll let you in her mouth
If the words you say are right
If you pay the price
She'll let you deep inside
But there's a secret garden she hides
She'll let you in her car
To go drivin' round
She'll let you into the parts of herself
That will bring you down
She'll let you in her heart
If you got a hammer and a vise
But into her secret garden don't think twice
You've gone a million miles
How far did you get
To that place where you can't remember
And you can't forget
She'll lead you down the path
There will be tenderness in the air
She'll let you come just far enough
So you know she's really there
She'll look at you and smile
And her eyes will say
She's got a secret garden
Where everything you want
Where everything you need will always stay
A million miles away
