I agree with you Bush's legacy of saving millions of children in Afghanistan from the brutality of the Taliban. Great Legacydrinker drinker drinker !!!! If you dont look at all the people out of work, losing their homes, having no health care( I applaud Bush I bet some Afghan children are getting better health care than some our own), and more of our civil rights stomped on. The Bush legacy will live in infamy! Job well done!!!! drinker drinker

Spidey!! Since you called me ignorant for what I said about the Carter and Reagan years and what happened in Iraq, Iran and the Persian gulf during those years. I was there for 6 straight years form 1979 to 1985 with the 6th fleet of the US Navy. We did nothing but surveillance of shipping and aircraft entering all of the Persian Gulf. We were the ship that sent seals ashore for the infamous helicopter rescue attempt. I know what our orders were back then and saw with my own eyes just what went down. You were what? 8-10 years old. So please feel free to believe what you read or was told. Funny thing about books, it only contains information they want you to know. So if you think Im "ignorant" about what happened back them, PLZ continue to read about it..You can't be wronglaugh drinker drinker drinker

The war in Afghanistan is going badly for us so those girls won't be going to school long.Better to bring them here for education and then send them back to help improve their country.

No, it's going quite well. Their fate is in Obama's hands, I hope he doesn't take his responsibility lightly.
 Obama is the Chosen One. He is the Light Bringer and he will save the world.

There is good that comes from our involvment overseas. I have seen it. Womens rights thrive, civil rights thrive, they have more money, they have better healthcare, etc.

Problem is...a we put our enemies in power, then we fight them. None of these wars will even end. Billions of dollars are transfering from our pockets to other countries.

Helping out other people is a noble thing. But not at the expense of our own country. Sadly that is what it's going to cost.

Hey, I was in Norfolk at that time. My ex was on the Eisenhower.
Cool..I was on board the USS Keolsch FF 1049 for 4yrs and USS Forrestal CVA-59 for 2 years both stationed out of Mayport Florida.. Did 2 years stateside at Mayport Naval Air Station. Those first six years were nothing but "Haze Gray and Underway", the majority of which was in the Med,Red Sea, Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean.Mostly doing surveillance in the Persian Gulf. Seen many places in that region. I did spend a week on the Eisenhower.

No wonder the world calls us selfish.

American poverty is self-inflicted by lazy, slothful people who want a hand-out. As a single mother of three children, deceased ex-husband who left no life insurance, who has from time to time gone jobless...one of the poorest factions in America...I am testimony to the fact that not making it in America means you're not trying at all. Pretty soon we'll have fires in the streets like in France.

The people in other countries, especially Africa and the Middle East, have it sooo much worse than we do, but all we know how to do is complain about how we don't get enough hand-delivered to our doorstep... Makes me sick to my stomach to think about it.

This guy was trying to say something nice that was happening because of Bush and you guys are so warped in the head and biased that you have to attack even something good. At least Republicans did see some good in Clinton, like welfare reform. At least they want Obama to succeed.

(That's not directed at Templt, or any of the last pages' post. I just didn't want to call anyone out and quote them. They know who they are.)
