Because they wanted to work on the fear and confusion of the American people I do agree with you that they started it all (IE dixie chicks ) but You do not have to stoop to thier kind of politics, rise above it dude, we are all Americans and a country devided will soon fall.
stop being part of the problem and work on finding solutions, without the name calling and grand standing

Your logic fails on the "We did it but we don't want you to do it cuz when we did it it was right but now you're wrong."

Correct you are... they weren't called the COUNTER culture for no reason.

Well look...I really want to be wrong...let's see how things go. Any statements I am making will be an "I was wrong" or it will be "I told you so."

Perhaps if there weren't so many uneducated racists on here, he'd be less grouchy. I know I would.

Isn't is also un-American to not say the Pledge of Allegiance and also NOT place your hand over your heart during it.. refusing to wear an American flag pin and saying you're ashamed to be an American?

I've seen the term un-American thrown around here before.

Mostly by sheep.

I love the "I really want to be wrong" stuff coming from people who don't appear to be doing a damned thing that is constructive, who post that they can't wait to see this administration fail, etc..

Some days...

People dont have to support him if they dont agree with his views. You dont have to in a Democracy.

If people didnt support Hitler, did that make them un-German?

The majority of your people did not supoprt Bush for the best part of his career.

Yep. And "my people" (seriously?) were called traitors and unAmerican for it.

What's the difference?

Your people, as in American people. I am British.

Who cares what the difference is, just bacuase someone calls you a traitor it doesnt mean that you are one.

Ah, sorry. Didn't realize you were a limey. It's mostly the "We can call you a traitor because we're real Americans, but we can bad mouth the President without being traitors because...." and the lack of logic past that.

George Bush doesn't know the words to the Pledge of Allegiance and he doesn't have a heart.

DUH! Read it again...what he's saying is you all want respect that you did NOT give to Bush. DEMS interfered with any REPS initiatives. You dragged anything down that would stick not for the good of the country but for your own selfish gains.

I won't do that...I'm waiting to see how OBAMA shapes up. I want to be wrong but don't think for one minute that we will be silent while him & all those wealthy Limosine Libs & rockefeller REPS turn this nation into a banana republic.

You realize none of that, aside from wearing the pin, ever happened, right? Like, never? And the Pledge of Allegiance didn't have the fun "Under God" portion until 1954, right?
Have you read any of Obamas books? I think not you need to before you go posting something like this againdevil

Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

So look around you. You may find more Americans in your land than you thought were there. One day they will rise up and overthrow the old, ignorant, tired tyrants that trouble too many lands. Then those lands too will join the community of free and prosperous nations.

None of those things make me any more nor any less American slaphead
-follow blindly is your choice
-I chose to see where I'm going

I say the Pledge when I feel like it
I place my hand when I feel like it
I wont wear a flag pin if it doesnt match the ensemble
