I just want to say that im an Active Duty Soldier in the Army and i have lost many brothers in arms. It hurts me to watch a casket go by with an american flag on it. I dont give a ** who gets president we are going to stay in iraq forever. Im getting deployed there in March 2009 and i hope that i dont die but if it happens o well. Who gives a if the president is black or white they are all going to stay in iraq no matter what they say. I hope to god i dont die but like i said who gives a **.

I have been watching, "Obama's Plan For America". It is a paid advertisement that runs on channel 73 on Dishnet where I live. He seems like an intelligent man with a sense of humor. My favorite text that he uses is, "I am my brother's keeper." That says a lot to me.

Honestly i could see just as many people voting for him BECAUSE he is black, as there are not voting for him because he is black. I feel sorry for anyone that uses prejudice as logic... (This stands for anyone of any color using any prejudice.) Education is beneficial to all...

the statement that obama is black ifs false and misleading that is reason enough not to vote for him it has nothing to do with his 25% black heritage it is the dishonesty of using it to try to push more people to vote for him I don't think I have ever heard of him trying to use it to get more votes, and if we are using the historical measures that white people made for determining whether a person was black, namely one drop of blood or 1/16 of black blood made you black then he is black and if not then there are a whole lot of us running around calling ourselves black when we are in fact not. Can't have it both ways. do you think that that is the correct way to decide race i do not i think all race questions should be removed from every form of paper work (except medical forms [and the only reason is race can effect health issues differently] I am by no means saying that it is a correct way to determine a persons race, cause I don't think a person's race should matter.But we all know, when he walked down the street before he ran for president, people would think, oh that's a black man. Not oh, their is a 1/4 black man. i am sure that is what a lot of people thought (even blacks) and i would bet there are those that do not think in terms of color until given a reason to but hey we both know there are good bad and indifferent in every aspect of humanity

I however will fight tooth and nail, blood and bone to prevent THOSE THAT DO NOT WORK from getting what I have worked for REDISTRIBUTED to them in the name of 'fairness'. Before you get all goo ga bout Obama... Tax cut and tax redistribution (i.e. tax credit) are two very different things. And now Obama is promising to give folks even more... So they will all be busy spending mone that is not theirs, taken from money we don't have, payed for by our grandchildren. (provided that they don't rise up and destroy this crooked government themselves). It ain't time to give out more money to people that spent more than they could afford... (business, government and US are all guilty.)... It IS time to put a stop to this and roll up our sleeves, grab the tools and GET TO WORK PUTTING OUR COUNTRY RIGHT... FROM THE TOP DOWN AND THE BOTTOM UP... else we have no country.

A lot of people won't vote for a black president because, let's face it, they're racists. Oh, they might deny it, but there are more concealed than overt types of racism.

During undergrad, political class..the professor kept reiterating that 'they are both brothers under the same skin.' ..they referring to the democrats & republicans..

I don't think he's 100% black and he was however raised by his white grandparents. And because of this great country he went to some of the finest colleges in the world! He doesn't know how hard it really is being "black". Many great Black American leaders out there, unfortunately I just don't think Lord Obama is one of them. IMO of course. I justify it because I just never could develop a taste for ACORN's.

We do give a phuque and that is why many of us want to get the phuque out of Iraq. We won the war, Saddam is dead and so are his two sons so I fail to see how a troop withdrawal can be seen as us "waving the white flag of surrender." That is just pure bullsheet. Combat operations are one thing but when they expect our soldiers to be the phucking perpetual cops in Iraq, I say that is a big mistake.
