It amazes me the extent people will go to to deal out authority on a subject they have undersanting about gathered from only one little fraction of the subject. Hey, according to the Bible Jesus himself said that few people make it into heaven. So if his word is any good that clearly means that the God loses the vast majority of soles to Satan! God is a LOSER by Jesus' own proclamation according the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. Why bother reading anymore? All that it can possibly consist of is excuses why God is so LAME! Who gives a damn about excuses? Clearly the idiots who wrote the fable didn't have the brains that God gave a pig. Look a MorningSong! THey have her frightened to death that if she doesn't accept Jesus Christ as her SAVIOR something terrible will happen to her! And she claims that there's no ulterior motive? Excuse me! Wanting to save your own personal butt from damnation is indeed an ulterior motive! It's an extremely egotistical religion. The God is egotistical, and the motivation to save your own personal butt is egotistical! I dont't give a damn about my own butt, I'm concerned with how fair this picture is in general! I'm concerned about OTHER PEOPLE! I'm tired of seeing little children being taught that they are sinners and have done things that have angered their creator and that the only way they can seek his forgiveness is to accept that God's son had to be butchered on a pole to pay for their terrible disobedience. What a sick picture of reality! I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again here because people don't seem to be getting it. If the biblical picture of reality is true I CHOOSE DEATH! Absolutely! I want no parts of living for eternity with a minority crowd of bigots who are only concerned with saving their stupid butts from damnation. Besides, if the Bible is TRUE, then very few will make it anyway. Why should I believe that I would be one of them? It's like playing the lottery! "VERY FEW WILL MAKE IT" - Jesus Christ! Moreover according to the Bible Jesus even said that there will be those who claim to know him but he will not recognize them!!! So according to that MorningSong could be totally fooling herself to claim that she is 'Born Again'. Evidently it isn't her choice to make that call. Come Judgment day Jesus might disagree. According to the Bible it's not our choice! We can't choose to be 'saved', only Jesus can decide who he will save. And by his own proclamation (according to the Bible) he does reject people! I've read enough of the Bible to clearly see it's two-faced sword. When viewed as the word of a supposely all-wise, all-intelligent, all-righteous supereme being it makes absolutely no sense at all. When viewed as a manipulative brainwashing scheme devised by men it makes PERFECT SENSE! Why would God lust to be the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and be worshiped by every single person? That's a egotistical wet-dream of greedy controlling men! No God would have such egotistical ambitions. Besides, if an all-wise, all-perfect God wanted such a scenario he probably would have just created it straight-away. Why play all these stupid guessing games and hide and seek? That would imply that God is limited in some way and can't do what it wants without jumping through hoops. But that flies in the face of the idea that with God all things are possible. It's a mythology that simply doesn't hold water. Period amen. I'd just like to see humanity move forward to something more POSITIVE. There is nothing positive in an archaic picture of a God that lusts for blood sacarifices made in his name and dreams of becoming the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Those are the sick demented dreams of egotistical mortal men! Let's get past this sickness, and move on to a more loving picture of a genuinely loving creator. If God is truly LOVE she should be really be happy to see everyone finally viewing her as such. This idea of an old-man God who get's pissed and throws temper tantrums ever time someone dares to question his morbid sick agendas is truly depressing.  |

I confess that I haven't read every single word in the stupid book, but I've also explained why that is the case. It can't very well recant what it has already said! At the very best it can only offer excuses for why God has to be so lame. And this is another things too that PROVES beyond any shadow of a doubt that it can't be from any genuine caring supreme being. If my original attraction to the Bible was seek God and all I found was sick demented things written by male-chauvanists jerks, then what does that say about this book? Clearly it CAN'T be from God! Why would God take part in a book that is going to turn me away from him? It can't be that difficult to know God. I think what happens with a lot of Christians is that they fall in love with Jesus and then just accept the rest of the book without seriously questioning it. And that's precisely what the authors of the Bible want! They used Jesus to prop up their bigoted male-chauvanistic religion even though it's perfectly Clear that Jesus did not even agree with much of anything that was in the old testament! He denounced stoning sinners to death, (which people were apparently still doing in his day!) He denounced an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth in favor of turning the other cheek. In other words, he denounce revenge in favor of forgiveness instead. And he certainly didn't exhibit any tendence to be a male-chauvanist. He had nothing in common with the make-believe God of Abraham! |

I'm just trying to get at the truth.
Are you interested in truth? When I was a child Isaac Newton was my hero. I was very much interested in math and science. However, I was never told of Isaac Newton's study into the Bible. Now there's a man who did read the Bible in great detail. In fact, I once hear that he own over 200 copies of the Bible! I don't know if there is truth to that or not, but most scholars do tend to agree that Isaac Netwon actually invested more time studying the Bible than he did in his studies of physics and math! His conclusion was that Jesus was not divine! I had no clue of this until much later in my life, only after I had already come to the very same conclusion on my own. I'm am relieved to hear that such a great and brilliant man came to the very same conclusion. And Isaac Newton didn't start out as as a skeptic to disprove the religion. On the contrary, he started out just like me with a desire to KNOW God! So I'm not alone in my history with the Bible. I'm in great company.  And I'll never understand why people are so bent on defending the Biblical picture based on pure faith. Why is it that they are so hungry to believe that they have fallen from grace from their creator to the point where he had to have his son butchered on a pole to save their butts? I would never choose to believe such a gruesome story on faith alone, must less defend it purely on that basis. I'm truly beginning to believe that the Jews are the ones who crucified Jesus (probably for blaspheme) since he denied so many things that had been established in the Old Testament. Then later these stories were written to point the finger at the Romans, and then use the crucifixion to bolster their original Old Testament. This I believe. We've all been had by unscrupulous manipulators, who used not only us, but Jesus as well! |
