why is it that we think we need to know why?

Why do you need to know?

Why are you asking me why?.......

I'm really bad at wanting to know why. It was a sort of bone of contention between my ex and myself. My need to try to figure out the why's of everything. I did learn that sometimes there is no logical explanation and it is just what it is. Took a lot of pressure off myself when I started to let some of the lesser points go by without asking.

I think we only need to know why when its related to justice, or our emotions.

It is the search for cause, which bottom line, is the search for the creator, the reason we exist.

If we just did what we were told without asking "Why" we would be nothing more than robots.

"Why" is asked to decipher if one is willing to concede or not, if the explanation goes against what one wants or believes, then they say no.

Without "why" our will would not exist.

Are humans just an accident?
Mere mold on planet earth?
Or is there something magical
that resides in us from birth?

Were we put here for a reason?
Or did our reason go kaput?
Is there life beyond our death?
Or will our ashes turn to soot?

Should we believe in heaven?
Are we threatened by a hell?
Are we the cause of are demise?
And is it possible to tell?

It's clear that life's a guessing game
but is it based on win or lose?
Will it really make a difference
because of what we choose?

Is there such a thing
as morality and vice?
Will it make a difference
if we're naughty or we're nice?

You can ask the questions
I'll just serve the beer
For I have found my answers
to the questions that you fear

Only why knows the answer to why.
But why why?
And why not?
Because why contains
the answer to why
and why not evades and won't answer.
But why the why of why?
Because we must answer the question
contained in the question of why.
Can it be answered though?
No.
Then why try?
Because it is a question
and deserves an answer.

Why do I see myself getting banned from this site if I answer this question in an honest and forthright manner?

When you have so much data input from the moment you draw breath to the moment you stop...

Think about it ...when you were an itty bitty baby... you had no idea what a name was... until someone TOLD you it was yours... and from there on in... it was one thing after another being TOLD what is, and what isn't....

Thank goodness for the WHY's is all I can say..

Come on, everybody asks this question. Even the people who write slayer lyrics on here to piss people off probably at some point wondered why they are here/exist etc.

thank God almighty, we have a winner! I can tell everyone here one thing for sure, the people in the U. S. military whom thought it would be O.K. to give soldiers LSD without telling them, and then put them through the scrutiny of a psycolical exam, witch often included question's using the word "why", should be ,,,,,,,,,,well whatever you can think of to keep them from ever reproducing!

They did that to my first husband. They gave him some sort of hallucinogenic drug for some experiment in the heat of the Viet Nam War. (Excuse me, police action.) They really messed a lot of our soldiers up.

My second husband was also screwed up by the military. (Uncle Sam sends home damaged goods and expects them to live normal lives.) I decided I can't fix them, and the marriages would not work.
