I guess nobama can rejoice in the fact that he is about to inherit the greatest depression in history.

I am a throwback to Madisonian thought. It kinda stuck in me when I learned what the US Constitution was based on. Primarily, lifting from the French Constitution and the Magna Carta, our Constitution was a construct of the two with the influence of the abuses of both attempted to be stalemated. It worked fine until we legislated the Federal Reserve Bank to manage the currency and trade with other nations, circa 1913. It went by the wayside when the gold standard was removed from being the backing of the US Dollar in 1971. The crash in 29 came on the heels of England taking their currency off the gold standard that same year. Their economy tanked immediately. We have a better Constitution and it took longer for the monweychangers to get a stranglehold on the USA. But, here we are. Enjoy your fractious partisanship. free lunches and KOOL AID. mmmmmm...mmmmm...good!
