Who needs your stinking pity? I would mock God in his face. He could strike me down only to prove my points.
I don't pity you at all myself, have no doubt you would mock God to his face.... once:wink:

Well yet another problem as we all know is that many if not all of these biblical stories are so ambiguous and full of symbolism that anyone can interpret them in any fashion that they wish and no can tell them absolutely that they are wrong. Just as no one can claim that their interpretation is infallibly correct. The only way I can look at any of this is to take it at face value meaning that statement to me sounds like Jesus is saying hey, dont judge your fellow humans! That makes sense to me without having to revamp and redefine it. If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck and it craps like a duck, most likely Jesus meant don't judge people by that particular sentiment.

I believe that, we will be judged by the same measure that we judge. if harsh, then harshly, if with compassion, then with compassion

Well you know my take on it because I am not Christian. I dont know exactly where my beliefs go as far as what happens after we pass. Unless someone can actually die and then come back and impart to us all what they saw or what occurred, then we have no way of knowing. I dont mean dead for a couple minutes either. I want you dead for near hour and a half before I will respect your interpretation of postmortem events.

Well, didn't die and come back with any answers, got shot all to hell and was just sure i was dying though. Yes, your life will pass in front of you and it is remarkably fast, I do know that I prayed, asked for forgiveness and for God to recieve my soul, felt a strong sense of comfort and warmth after that and the feeling that I would be okay. I was. I had faith before that and that just strengthened it. guess we will have to die to know for sure.

Right. And I hate to tell you but what you just described was a normal physiological manifestation of both mind and body when someone is severely injured or close to death. The brain is electrical and organic so the "life flashing before the eyes" occurrence is quite routine. That is why it is so often reported by near death survivors. The same applies to the feeling of floating and lights flashing or bright tunnels. So at least in my opinion, you dont have to agree, that is simply not enough evidence to sway me one way or another. Its all explainable by modern science.

wasn't trying to sway you one way or the other. wasn't trying to give you evidence. was relaying an experience and unless you have been near death, you dont know what your talking about. didn't see lights, tunnels or any of that. You just had to have been there i guess

laugh I guess. No, you always try to assume I am speaking in personal or intimate terms. No. I was relaying this medical explanation as a generalized reference point and how science explains these occurrences. You can take or leave it. That is not my concern here.

I'll leave it then. No harm done, hate typing actually, cant see emotion and tone and faces when we converse this way, lets a lot of things be taken differently than what we sometimes mean.

I think I must admit that I prefer the Pagan Community. Mainly because I cant recall the last time time I was woken up at 9am on a Saturday morning by a bunch of proselytizing Wiccans.....
HAHAHA so true.

But I always find it fun to ask the hard questions to the "slave" followers.

Well you need to assume what I am saying is for the general interpretation of all and not somehow singling you out. You will be a much happier individual I think.

Exactly. At least I would also include myself with this statement. I dont care if you want to run around buck naked worshiping ice cream cones. If you do not harm anyone, nor yourself Its none of my dam business.

...Pessimists, Terrorists targeting the next mark
Global chaos feeding on hysteria
Cut throat, slit your wrist, shoot you in the back, fair game
Drug abuse, self abuse searching for the next high
Sounds a lot like hell is spreading all the time
I'm waiting for the day the whole world dies...

OK OK OK OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who are ANY OF YOU TO JUDGE???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

SO WHAT IF I DO BELEIVE IN THE TRINITY???
WHO CARES IF YOU DON'T!!!!
EVEN IF THERE IS OR ISN'T WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO THINK AS WE WISH!

ITS NOT CHRISTIAN LIKE TO JUDGE ANYONE WHAT EVER THEY MAY BELEIVE!
WHY DO I SAY THIS???????
I WAS RAISED BY A MAN WHO IS A PREACHER!!!
AND HE WAS NO CHRISTIAN!!!
WALK THE WALK TALK THE TALK.....HE DID NONE OF IT! HE WAS A PREACHER ON SUNDAYS AND WEDNSDAYS, THE OTHER 5 HE SPENT TORCHERING ME AND ALL THE OTHERS!
HE RAPED ME FOR YEARS !!!
DOES THAT MAKE ME BITTER???
YES
DO I STILL BELEIVE IN GOD?????
YES
DOES THAT MEAN I AM GOING TO PITTY YOU WHEN YOU STAND BEFORE WHOMEVER YOU CHOOSE TO BELEIVE IN????
NO!

GET OVER IT!!!
ITS YOUR RIGHT TO BELEIVE AS YOU WISH !
JUST AS ITS MINE TO BELEIVE AS I WISH!

STOP THE FRUDDIN JUDGIN PPL!

I am very sorry that you had to endure such treatment. People really get in the way of God's work. It's sad but that's why it's more important to know God than put our trust in people. Many people have let me down in my life...MANY.

I've had some really hard knocks as well in life...MANY as a matter of fact. Did I blame God? Yes...but I couldn't leave Him either...not for long. God just would not let me go. when I finally confessed that...I had some major breakthroughts & my whole christian walk changed.

It's something remarkable when God changes us. Not to get preachy on yu but I hope nothing but God blessings toward you dear girl. Don't equate God's love with human love or you will never experience His unconditional care for you & all He has in store for you.

Know that you are loved.... flowerforyou
