JB, go back and read exactly what you wrote. You are incapable of debate with me for the sole reason that I refuse to reveal to you on forum the basis of my own personal spirituality. If now in retrospect, you are realizing that you were over zealous in taking that approach with me and that was indeed a bad move on your part, I would agree. You should have never gone in that direction, nor hinted that you wanted to go in that direction. I do not feel that I was over zealous in taking that approach with you. If you have a point to make or a theory to present or new information or ideas to share I am extremely interested. But you seem to be emotional, easily offended, defensive and your agenda is hidden. You are too guarded, as if you are in a battle rather than a conversation. Excuse me for asking. Stay behind your curtain if you feel safer there. JB It is you who strike me as slightly off center and quite overly emotional. Why else would you endlessly drag this petty bickering on except that you have probably wanted to "have it out" with me in some respect for quite some time. Well now is your chance. If you actually want to discuss these issues in an intelligent and cohesive debate format then I will be happy to oblige. It is you who insists that you can not talk to me without knowing what my belief system encompasses. I find this quite unreasonable and sounds as if you are attempting to take refuge in an invented argument. I asked you to elaborate on why you feel that this medical research should be disregarded in lieu of JB's theory of what occurs in a NDE. It would appear that I accidentally hit a nerve in some respect and since your personal beliefs are bound up in this topic specifically, it is hardly comfortable for you to even entertain the notion that perhaps the perception of floating and the appearance of tunnels and bright lights can in fact be explained by modern medical science. My point this entire time has been that we should look at both sides of the coin and not solely at what makes us feel more comforted in some respect. I am quite willing to face the fact that when I die, there may be nothing except lights out. |

Well I have told you about eight times now (before you set into endless bicker mode) that I am willing to look at both sides of this research debate. I choose not to simply poo hoo modern medical research or act as if "I've seen it all" and there is nothing new. That to me right away indicates that you have your own theory as to what occurs postmortem and you are happy with this concept. If you would like to explain exactly why the information demonstrated thus far is inaccurate or erroneous in some respect, I am perfectly willing to hear you out. You dont seem to understand that my position here is that I do not know what happens once we pass. Since I dont know, I choose not to come to any conclusions at this point. JB, as stated before, I am simply informing you as to how I perceive your behavior. It is somewhat childish. I would assume you are capable of better. Im just not seeing it today. (Thank you for that information. I just find it hard not to slide unto the floor laughing when I read some of your posts.) Ahem..! (clears throat, wipes her eyes and gets serious) As for the subject at hand, the cut and paste post we are referring to, I felt it only slightly grazed over the subject and was less about scientific study than it was about some guy's personal opinion. It barely skimmed the surface, and it named no actual article or researcher or author or paper or study that would enlighten me on exactly what the evidence was that he was referring to. As of yet, I have not gone to google to research any other scientific studies in this area of research that asserts that when you are dead, you are dead. While I always like the idea of looking at "both sides of the coin" I have found that there are more sides than just two, so that analogy does not fit for me. I'll get back to you on my take on the subject soon. JB |

Its clear that you have had some kind of "ongoing issue" with me for a period of time and you simply snapped.
