The church (pagan sun worshippers) tells BUNCHES of lies!

1. If you are good, when you die you to heaven.
2. If you are bad, when you die you go to hell.
3. Sunday is the Sabbath (sun god worship)
4. Xmas is the day of the birth of the Messiah
5. Easter (Isthar worship-pagan goddess) is the day the Messiah rose

The Bible doesn't say ANY of these things!!!!

I mean people teach their innocent babies that there is a santa claus KNOWING that they are LYING through their teeth! Then they wonder why when their children are grown and learn the truth they consider their parents liars! The worst part is, instead of breaking the vicious cycle of lies, they continue with it and teach their children the same thing! Oh my bad, it's tradition..the tradition of lying to your children! How noble!

I used to believe all of it, and then I sat down to read it for myself. I was tired of the (excuse my french) BS!!! In the process of reading and praying the TRUTH was revealed. Humble yourself (not to say that you are not already humble) Ask the right Elohim...YHWH.

But, if you want to do it your own way, that is the beauty of my Elohim, He has given us free will to do as we please.

When I was a kid, I was afraid of the "boogey man" and I knew for certain he was in my closet and he would get me at lights out. I never saw him of course but I knew he was there.

Then I got to be 11 ish and I sort of got over it and realized it was a figment of my imagination. What’s the difference between the boogey man and god exactly? It’s a valid question.

This is true Britty, but keep in mind that I don't believe that the Bible is the word of God. I do believe that the Bible is full of lies. But since I don't believe it is the word of God, then it doesn't follow that God is a liar.

I think Tribo makes a serious error when he entitled this thread, "Is God a Liar?".

I'm sure he meant to ask, "Is the biblical God a liar?"

I think by not qualifiying his question he was inadvertently treating the biblical description of God as the "only" valid description of God.

I personally don't believe that it is a valid description of God. Therefore the Bible can be chuck full of lies and that doesn't reflect on our creator at all.

Tribo is not telling God to prove himself. I believe he is telling these born again Christians who claim to speak to the holy spirit and claim to have direct access to all truth, to prove their claim ~~~or shut up.

Elohim is a plural word. It means "They who came from the sky" or something like that.

It does not mean God.

And no, he was asking the people who claim to speak to the Holy Spirit to ask the holy spirit.

If they want to claim that they talk to God, then they should be able to get a simple answer to verify their claim.

If not, they should stop making such claims.

Actually Elohim means Mighty Ones. The Mighty ones being Yahweh and His son Yahshua.

Nephilim means giants in Hebrew.

Take note that I never stated that Elohim meant G-d.

As for aliens, Yahshua says He is NOT of this world, when one is not native to a planet or country they are considered aliens. I don't have a problem with that...He said what He said.

I'm in total agreement with you Sharpshooter. However, many so-called "Christians" on this forum refuse to allow for that. They claim that only through a belief and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can a person be 'saved'.

I would actually love to teach the teachings of Jesus as I understand them. My understand of Jesus is pure love. And it is also my understanding that Jesus himself said (according to John) that even he himself will not judge non-believers even AFTER they have heard his words yet do not believe.

Here's Jesus own words according to the gospel of John:

Jesus (paraphrased by John): "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."

Clearly Jesus himself is saying that it is not important to believe in him, and that he will not judge those who do not.

Christians have argued that then Jesus goes on to claim that the Father will judge them! In other words, they claim that if the Son don't get you the Father will! They are very adamant about demanding that non-believers be judged harshly, if not by Jesus then by the Father.

However, according to the gospel of John Jesus also said the following:

Jesus (paraphrased by John): "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son"

So here Jesus himself is denying what many Christians seem to be demanding. (i.e. that the Father will judge those who Jesus doesn't).

Of course once it deteriorates into arguments over verses and the meaning of versus then it becomes a battle of words and looses any spiritual meaning.

The problem is that I can't very well teach the love of Jesus using what Jesus taught (that it's not important to believe in him), without being stoned to death by the Fundamentalists who want to use Jesus as an egotistical weapon to denounce non-believers.

So the Fundamentalist have crucified Jesus all over again metaphorically and refuse to allow his love of mankind to taught. They prefer to used his words to support bigotry and hatred toward non-believers.



The problem with this is that Christianity (the entire story of Jesus) came from the Bible. Period.

There is no other reason to even believe in Jesus outside of believing in the Bible. Therefore the entire religion necessarily reduces to an argument over the meaning of doctrine. Just like I illustrated above. How can we claim to "know Jesus" outside of what was written about him?

The Jesus I "know" is all about being brotherly love, forgiveness, and being non-judgmental of other men.

However, the Jesus that the Christian fundamentalists claim to "know" is all about brotherly hate, no forgiveness for non-believers, and total and complete judgment against non-believers.

They "know" a completely different Jesus that I "know". Yet we both can only "know" Jesus through reading the gospels. So our interpretation of the gospels is paramount.

Christianity is a belief in a doctrine. It can't be separated from that. That's truly all that it is. It has nothing beyond that, other than claims that the Holy Spirit supposedly speaks to the people who read the book.

Well, when I read the book I see a Jesus who was all about love, forgiveness, and being non-judgmental.

When Christian fundamentalists read the book they see a Jesus who was all about hate, non-forgiveness and completely and total rejection of all non-believers. They see an extremely bigoted Jesus.

But ultimate it all comes down to the doctrine. That's all there is. There is nothing beyond the doctrine.

The idea that the Holy Spirit can speak to us is a lie.

Anyone who tries to actually preach brotherly love, forgiveness, and being non-judgmental in the name of Jesus will instantly be labeled a heathen and a non-believer.

Because what they have come to believe is that it's important to recognize that Jesus is God. So anyone who teaches that this is unimportant is branded a heathen and therefore is not permitted to speak of Jesus. They will be metaphorically stoned to death and crucified right along side of Jesus.

So it's impossible to teach the love of Jesus as long as the Christian Fundamentalists believe they own him and can use him to support their hatred against non-believers.

Well, if lying isn't an option for God then clearly the Bible can't be God's word.

Better seek out God directly then. Or shop around for a new book.
