Voila!!!!!!!!

chazter's post is the key here, my friend.

Sorry chazter, no offence intended. Humor struck me so i tried to share that discreetly without hurting your feelings or expencing my laughter to your hurt.

Voila,

Chazter's post showed me that he might not have read beyond fferal's quips and seen that she brought up, before any other, that an asteroid colliding with the earth is within the realm of possibilities in the investigative pursuits of scientists doing what they do.

That being said, she understood my quip and acknowledged inlike kind, veiled and harmless of being at any one prson's expense.

then, in like kind, she sought to wear my humor and suggest that it would in fact bring scorn to her, not me.

Now, if you can see the humor in that, so be it.

If you cannot, oh well.

nothing is perfect for we are men, not gods.

The theory that humans and dinosaurs co-existed? I don’t think so. It took us long enough to educate folks that this DID NOT occur. Now you want to try to reprogram people? Why not just rent a bunch of those old sci-fi movies from the 60s with the cave men running from the pterodactyls and tyrannosaurus rex?

"They have discovered "evidence" of this in the Gulf of Mexico. He says this is the "smoking gun". "It is proof positive of the impact." Actually it proves nothing. Any school child can tell you the earth has often been bombarded with asteroids - so what? So they've found evidence of one of them but it doesn't mean it killed the dinosaurs. Previous evidence from sediment suggests that the dinosaurs did not become extinct at exactly the same time as the impact occurred." Oh, well, that's another theory blown! "

No she said that just because a meteor hits it doesnt mean it will kill the dinosaurs. I am merely pointing out how it actually could kill the dinosaurs.

Thanks for trying, please play again.

I am pretty sure most of the evidence points to dinosaurs being extinct before man came to be. Yes they have found evidence of large craters in the ocean that could have cause the death of the Dinosaurs. Have you heard of ELEs or Extinction Level Events? If a meteor was large enough, it could put enough debris in the atmosphere to block out the Sun for a couple of years. Since Dinosaurs are cold blooded they need the sun to keep their body temperature up. This debris would drastically lower temperatures and many if not all the Dinosaurs would die. Mammals would have a better time surviving since our bodies produce their own heat. Its just a theory, but I think its a pretty decent one.

Thought this was worth reposting. Deb, it’s not a matter of the meteors hitting individual dinosaurs. It’s the cataclysmic events that follow. It’s almost a chain reaction effect. This occurs so that animal dies out, if this animal dies, then a larger carnivore loses its primary food source. So on and so forth.

Why is everyone so obsessed with creationism? A world of potentially engaging theological and moral topics, and this complete bloody dodo of a conversation keeps coming back up like a dodgy curry

Why, you ask?

A desperate need to be right.

Another reason i'm happy to be a nice, simple pagan. We're not afraid of things we don't know, and accept that we really don't know much at all. A little mystery makes the world more fun anyways.

Well, looking at that list I don't think it's the dinosaurs that are stupid - do you?! I remind you the evolutionists latest theory as to what wiped out the dinosaurs is that a massive asteroid hit the earth and killed them. They have discovered "evidence" of this in the Gulf of Mexico. He says this is the "smoking gun". "It is proof positive of the impact." Actually it proves nothing. Any school child can tell you the earth has often been bombarded with asteroids - so what? So they've found evidence of one of them but it doesn't mean it killed the dinosaurs. I have seen the studies of this and the sedimentary deposits of the ash and fallout from the event attributed to the one in the Gulf of Mexico do not preclude that the nuclear winter produced was the singular cause of a mass starvation in one fell swoop in one very succint mmoment in time, thus destroying all flora and fauna world wide.

As best as I recall, the event suggested in the Gulf of Mexico was not the only event to occur as an all encompassing plausible event for the whole of these creatures throughout the time of their presence in the earth.

I cannot cite for you where to see the pictures themselves, or whwere the site is in the earth for personal visitation of, for the purpose of seeing first hand the footprints of homo sapien alongside the three toed footprints if dinosaurs in the rocks, that were once soft, impressionable earth, be it clay, mud, dirt, or otherwise. These footprints are visible to the naked eye on the surface of the rock and are evidence that man and dinosaur were sharing the moment.

If the Gulf of Mexico event took out the dinosaurs en masse, it also would have taken out man as well, in light of the evidence depicting footprints of man and dinosaur simultaneously

Well no duh.....I wouldn't think each individual meteor would hit each dino.......omg give me some credit for having a brain.....gezzzzzzzz. I was actually the whole event according to evolutionist and that it was so big it blocked the sun and filled the earth with so much dust....that is what they think killed the dino's...But in reality it was the flood.....And look for the most part at how the dino's are found reaching up and clawing their way out as trying to get out of water.....(flood) makes much more sense to me....and remember it was immediate not over time......so the flood would make much more sense....because if it was a matter of the weakest dying first and so on and so on....that would take time......this did not.

The only issue with the flood theory is that other cultures have NO record of a flood. China has cities dated back to 7000 BC with NO evidence of a gigantic flood.

Oh but they dont buy into records reaching back that far. laugh I am still feeling pretty confident with an asteroid and ELE that took place over a period of time however, there were other issues that could have been occuring during the late Cretaceous. Perhaps even at the same time. The latter part of the Cretaceous period was a time of high tectonic activity (continental drift) and accompanying volcanic activity. The supercontinent Pangaea was splitting up and the continents were taking on their modern-day forms. This could have been trouble.

Very interesting stuff Feral, but the stories sound like the many stories of big foot, UFO's, Lockness monster, etc. that we have heard of for a long time that have no real physical evidence to back them up.

I can sight thousands of cases of people who have seen reptilian monsters of all shapes and sizes, yet when I mention reptilian monsters or reptilian humanoids and call them "aliens" or intelligent life forms, you flat tell me that I am crazy, these things don't exist.

Now it sounds like in your effort to prove the existence of "dinosaurs" and man together, you dredge up all this stuff.
Hey I'm all for it. If any of it is true, then we are chasing the same monsters.

A humanoid draconian prince in flight can easily be mistook as a large flying reptile and these creatures have been seen in our time. But antidote evidence is not good enough.

I would love to be one who captures some strange reptilian creature or an alien or big foot or a flying saucer.

I am a believer in all possibilities and that in this strange world we live in, anything is possible.

But science and the scientific community and even you demand proof.

Proof is what we don't have.

JB

Feral writes:

Many world wide sightings of dinosaurs have been reported throughout history. The Sioux Indians are said to have once found a dead Pterandodon. In 1649 a "large flying reptile" was seen at Mount Pilatus in Switzerland. Alexander the Great saw several dinosaurs in India. The last of many Triceratops was killed at Nerluc, France. Herodatus saw flying Rhamphorynchus in Egypt. At Bolognia in May 1572 Ulysses Aldrovandrus describes the death of what is reputed to be the last Tanystrophimus in Italy.

I have reports from a guy in africa, a well respected shaman, who actually saw a dead Zeta alien and ate some of its flesh. He said it was very real and made him very sick. He was also abducted into their ships more than once.

Shh! Don't tell em about the continental drift theory Krimsa.... that will get them off on tangents before this gets *really* good.

Besides... if you do that, then the Mormons are going to show up and start in with the stuff about THEIR testament, and how the world had to always be configured exactly the same way, or the idea of Jesus coming to the western hemisphere for the second set of documents is shot.

Alright, I'll lay off the geology and plate tectonics for now. happy Its also important to keep in mind that most of the dinosaurs went extinct long before the catastrophic mass extinction at the end of the Cretaceous period, 65 million years ago. Background extinctions and many minor extinctions accounted for the disappearance of most of the dinosaur species.

You are right. For a LONG period of time the fundamentalists were not even comfortable with these concepts being taught in public schools. Shameful.
