I recently saw a survey that indicated conservatives were happier than liberals. I think I know why. Conservatives, like sheep enjoy being lead, they like to be told, "we have it right, it's the evil liberals that hate America and are ruining this country." Liberals on the other hand are more likely to question authority and accept the fact that we, as a country, make mistakes. O-k, jump on me for generalization. I can deal with it. haha I agree this thread was made to stir the pot. I just added to it I hope. Bad me! Actually, it has to do with the fact that conservatives deals with becoming an adult. It happens. You're liberal when you're younger (most, anyways), and then you grow up and become a conservative. That's because liberalism is for children and perverts. How's that for a generalization?  I have done just the opposite. I used to be conservative but the older I get the more liberal I get. A lot of the stuff that is called "conservative" sounds like a bunch of hot air to me now. The stuff the Republicans say sounds good until you actually stop and think about it. I agree. As I have become more wise, I see more of the fault in the power structure as we know it. |

What does McCain stand for? What kind of symbol is he? He doesnt inspire any feelings of confidence or hope in me.he looks like a very old, same-old, same-old, politician to me. He is actually frail looking, huh? I said that before. With his POW PTSD and his anger management issues, people should be afraid to put him at the helm. |

I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. I a pro-choice, in some case pro-death penalty and I beleive in a strong military.
I beleive that old saw, "Those that do not know their history are bound to repeat it. Thomas Paine is one of my heroes. There's no party for me dammit. I don't see any good third part alternatives either. |

If anything it's little boys with too much testosterone who chose to be Republicans so they can play soldier and invade other countries.. LOL, the problem is they do not respect anyone whose gun isn't as big as theirs..lol |

Most of you can't even come up with solid, substantive points in debate because most of it is "Republicans _____________" or "Democrats ____________"
You should all learn to grow up and realize that party affiliation does not tell us much. You should also learn that the terms liberals and conservatives are socio-political prisons. |
