I believe all of our society has a entirely unrealistic view of beauty in 30's, 40's, 50's etc. etc. etc. I may not be rock hard and smooth skinned like I was in my 20's but I sure am more rugged, more experienced, a better judge of charachter and damn it I am a better person... How about you?

 Dont be discouraged there is someone in this world for each and everyone of us. I 37 yo have been married for 10 years and now divorced with no children. It is not easy finding a nice decent responsible man to date but I have hope someday my Prince Charming will come riding on his horse to sweep me away.

Im 37, separated for almost 2 years so pretty much divorced (waiting for papers). Overweight, Sleep difficulties,2 adult children living on their own, one 13 year old still at home, 2 grandsons, college educated in graphic design yet making poverty wages, I love my alone time but hate to feel lonely, neither femme nor butch but cant seem to find another girl that feels the same

I have a great personality...lol. Too bad I can't find anyone who can get past the looks part to figure that out. Oh well that is why god invented batteries. Going back to the drinking clique thread, before someone drinks my Mezcal.

I am pushing 40 really hard.... Most people never guess I am that old..I look at it this way..you are only as old as you want to to be..I go to my kids schools and see the other parents and there are women who are many years younger then me and they look older then me..I try and take care of myself the best I can..

I've gotten e-mails on this site from women aged 18 to 66 telling me they think I'm good-looking......yeah, that's flattering as hell, of course........but I find myself feeling most of the time like I'm not compatible with anyone............

I think it's harder because at this stage in our lives most of the men around are already married, or taken and all the good wons belong to someone else.

Someone told me just a few days ago. Today 30s are the 20s, and 40s are the 30s. Actually it's true if you look what age most people marry /have kids.

My confidence in my looks is much better now at 38, however, I have little hope on love. It seemed much easier to meet men when I was younger and less jaded. And I wasnt as picky then.
