i guess i look at things differently because i have been in the gay/lesbian "world" (for lack of better terms) all my life. i see how they live, they live no differently than anyone else. my sister is an alcoholic/drug addict. her partner brought her thru all that and they have built a wonderful life, a beautiful home and awesome business together...
my sister prays, she loves God, she was brought up in the same faith as i.... i believe that they deserve no different treatment than anyone else. who is man or government to judge? |

question for you Abra.....I know your mom loved the Lord with all of her heart. And when as sad as it is, you lost her....Where do you think your mom thought she was going when she died? I was by her side when she was dying for almost two weeks. She knew she was dying and she was unsure of what to expect. A bit afriad. As much as she 'believed' she was still unsure. I assured her that Jesus was waiting for her with open arms.  Let's face it. If my mother did not go to a nice place the rest of us don't have a prayer in hell. I may not believe in the biblical story. But I do believe that whatever god is truly like she must necessarily be nicer than any of us. I wasn't going to try to convert my mother to pantheism on her death bed. What would be the point to it? If my picture of pantheism is true then she actually did go to be with Jesus. The bible doesn't need to be true for Jesus to have been a real person with a real spirit that is truly 'out there' in the spirit world. I believe we are all spiritual beings. Jesus wouldn't be any exception to that. So Jesus could very well be the one to welcome my mother into the Spirit world. I believe that my mother did go to be with Jesus. So I wasn't lying to her at all. I truly believed that Jesus was there for her. Along with other spirits. My mother came from a big family. She had seven brother and three sisters. My mother was the last on to die. So they would ALL be there for her. She also had lots of friends who loved her very much. Most of them had also died before she did. I'm sure she was received by a huge party of people.  Jesus defintely being among them. Because she did love him so very much. |
