Until ANY of you are in a situation where this is a choice or the only choice you cannot say how you will react or what you will choose. Before you JUDGE anyone for making the choice to have an abortion, live a day or even an hour that womans shoes and then and only then can you know what she goes through. It is in no way an easy choice to make. You said it better than I could have. For until one is in that situation and has to make that choice you have no clue what the situation is or what is going on. Kids are a blessing I agree with this whole hearted. Would not give mine up for anything. But.......one must also in this life have an open mind for it is not as easy as just say no. Some of those that end up saying yes have you not thought what happen to them. I'm not trying to make excuses for one to have and abortion. But neither am I close minded to what the situation in hand was. Myself I wish that all would carry them and give them up for adoption in the end if they chose that they don't want the baby. But then I feel that process should not be so costly for those trying to adopt either. So regardless sorry I still feel as if it should be left up to the women and that option should be there. For the simple fact when it was not there if you have ever read the horror stories back in the 20'-40's they did there own abortions with clothes hangers. Many women died due to that practice. Believe me if the option was not there some would still find a way. |

Personally, I think incest and rape should be considered possible exceptions, but otherwise not just no, but hell no!

ok, ill tell you a story.
imagine a 18 year old waking up from surgery being told theres a very reduced chanced of you having children as weve found something wrong with you. imagine the tears on that persons face, knowing all her dreams could be shattered. yes that person was me, and still is, with NO children. Then think would you like to give a gift of life to another. Then would have a abortion, the choice is yours?? i say no more on this subject. |

I do understand the heartache of those that can not have children. My ex brother in-law and his wife could not conceive and ended up adopting a boy.
But in reality your talking about two different situations. There are many reasons that we can come up why one should not. And only a few that some will say they should not. So should a 10 year old girl that was raped by her father and ended up pregnant have to carry the baby to give it up. And go through all the hardships that they will be put through. Having friends belittle them and with the thought of others putting them down or saying they deserved it or lead the man on. With the chance of totally messing her up mentally for the rest of her life that could even lead her to suicide all due to because she could not deal with this reality that was forced upon her. Can you honesty say that option should not be there. Or another case what if the woman has cancer and told if she carries the child full term there is nothing they will be able to do for her and she will die. Yes I do know for a fact these type of cases happen all the time. As far as the one that can't have one they do still have and option of adoption. |

I do understand but now maybe you see my point even though I have never been put in that situation.
I still feel there are situations we should look at before we close our minds and not look at each case individually. Now in no way do I think that should be used for a form of birth control only in situations after all the facts have been weighed. Not trying to get anyone to relive the past only consider with and open mind.

I love the way the abortion industry (purely existing for $$$$$ don't ever believe the lie they CARE about YOUR situation) has numbed and deceived the minds of America to believe rape/incest is so prominent in abortions.
NOT. Less than 1% of abortions are done due to rape, incest or the health of the mother. WAKE UP AMERICA. Please. It's due to INCONVENIENCE. Well I may have been stupid enough to abort one baby, but before than when I was 16 I carried my now 39 yr old daughter to term because abortion was illegal. THANK GOD. Every day. I have my precious first born (I have 5 kids) because the laws in America didn't permit me to take her life. I thank God. She thanks God. Her husband thanks God. Her friends and family ... well you get the picture. |

its a very delicate subject to talk about but if a woman i loved was in any danger of having the baby and the only thing she could do is have an abortion then she would come first before any baby that was not born!

I've never agreed with the government forcing decisions on people that can come to their own choice. I cannot say this from a point of view, and I wouldn't try too. I'm just saying that we live in the land of the "free"...then we are forced to do things against our interest time and time again. Again I will state: Pro-Choice.

A 13 year old gets raped, 2 weeks later after she goes through the process of being analyzed by doctor's left and right for bruising and insuring that she is physically alright, she finds out she is pregnant. This happened where I used to live, happened damn near yearly and it was illegal for abortion which forced a girl that hasn't even got out of elementary/middle school to have a child...because the government thought it was "right"...I disagree with that, sorry. |

i agree, if a woman got raped and decided to keep the child, then its not the childs fault for being in the world and certainly not the fault of the woman. if i was in that position i reall

I don't have a problem with choice, I have a problem with a forced decision dictated by someone who has never and will never be in the same position...everyday congress goes through stupid laws being written by people that look in from the outside and dictate what is "right" and "wrong" with the ink of a pen...that my friends is not right.
