Not my body, not my choice.  Yes, this is something that is always lost in this debate. What about the baby? It has no say in the matter, and it's not fair. |

Um..How about we settle on "Everyone do whats right for YOU"  The problem with this is, when everyone makes their own rules, then basically there are none. Everything is a gray area, when really certain things are either right or wrong, when it comes right down to it. This subject DOES have a right or wrong to it tho..Don't you think it's wrong to create a child,knowing you don't want it,let it be born and just up and kill it one day AFTER it has experienced life?..And what about women like me..My disability is genetic..I'm just supposed to have the kid KNOWING what kinda life is ahead of it?  First off, you have to realize life doesn't revolve around you and only you. There's more to life then just our needs. To kill a child, just because it's an inconvenince to you, is selfish. I'm sorry but it is. As for the 2nd part, sometimes it's through difficult things like that, that you find out how strong you really are. I don't think you read my comment at all did you?

If a rape victim should be allowed to MURDER...why not let her kill the RAPIST????????????????????? Think about that one LONG AND HARD!!!!

Speaking about rape too, think about this. Do you really think in 20 years, you're going to say: "Oh I wish I hadn't had this kid" if you have it? Somehow I don't think so. If anything having the child will make it easier to look back on the experience, knowing that something good came out of the situation.

I didn't mean that part of it was selfish, I just meant women who kill the child because it's inconvient is. I can understand what you are saying here, but the ends do not justify the means. That baby still deserves a chance at life, regardless of what the circumstances surrounding it's birth may be. |

Again, no one is forcing you to kill your kid, I don't care what the circumstances are. As for her life being screwed up, maybe it would be and maybe it wouldn't. But at least she'd have something good that came out of a traumatic experience. |
