Betty...I loooovvvveee to do laundry...can I do yours..hehehehehe On my 25th wedding anniversary...my husband wanted to buy me an anniversary ring...no into the jewelry thing...so I said...Cuppy, can I have a front load washer and dryer...he looked at me like I was crazy and said how about a new frig too...that was the dreamiest anniversary yet...of course the treats werent in the frig....

  How about showing some more leg. I bought Gwen a table saw one xmas & she loved it. WHoever comes out will get to see the garage she turned into a kitchen. Lady could do most anything. She wasn't into expensive jewelry either. Rather have simple things she really could use. |

Ahhh Betty! I was having some thoughts much like your own actually. After this day is done, I'll be done with the significant dates. His birthday of Valentines Day, wedding anniversary in May and now this. There is diagnosis date in August which honestly was about as bad as today because when you get the one we got, you immediately knew the life you'd planned was OVER.

oh I remeber the diagnosis and knowing the doctors made some terrible mistake!!Surely they must have mixed up his tests cause there was no way my Al was dying ...no way at all

Hi, I lost my mom in January of 2007 and my husband a month later. My husband was my best friend, my soul mate. We were married 32 years. I found him in bed dead. He had a massive heart attack. He was only 52 years old. It has been so hard for me to keep going. I miss him so much everyday. It's so hard not to cry everytime I think about him. I have dated some but I keep comparing the guys with my husband. Not a good thing to do. I know the hurt will get easier but it's hard to believe that right now.

Hey, Betty...to be honest...I could have had all the diamonds I wanted...we were very comfortable..I just didnt want them...Im very practical about things..However, I did go through stages after his death trying to see what would make me happy..here they are..
Shoe stage..I own roughly 60 pairs of shoes...before I had 5 Jewelry stage..All I wore was a watch and my wedding rings...Now I have 3 tennis bracelets over 3 carats each..diamond stud earrings, diamond hoop earrings, cocktail rings much bigger than my wedding rings, diamond toe rings Lingerie state...I have so many undergarments, that I wont use in a lifetime..you name it I have it. Tatto stage....Yes I designed tattoos and an artist did a great job...now I have three...I guess I needed to hurt myself. Purse stage....Only owned one purse...now I have a third closet filled with every color and style...with matching wallets. Clothes stage..I had work clothes and home clothes...only what I needed..the kids always came first...Now I have a wardrobe and I have clothes with tags still on them Book stage...I thought maybe reading would do me some good... Bought every Danielle Steele book out. Had to be hard cover and signed if I could find them...I have them all...and I do enjoy reading them Traveling stage...flew to see my kids in Chgo and PA every few months...now Im tired of the flying. There is more...but none of things seem to matter to me after the fact...It just proves that you cant buy love........ Cathy |

You are among friends...we have been there and done that..Mine was 51 when I lost him...28 glorious years...I figured that noone can walk in his shoes...My philosophy is...I dont expect someone to fill his shoes...Impossible...but what I do want is someone strong enough to walk his own path, form his own footsteps and create a new chapter in my(our) life going forward. I would sit watching the shopping chanel on Tv, crying my eyes out and ordering everything in site. Trying to fill that empty void I guess. If you ever get tired of those diamonds I will be happy to take them off your hands Gosh...you know where they sit...In my safe...I wear them when I swim in my pool...the chlorine does wonders on them...bad for lines but... My sister is a gemologist so, I have come across some very unusual pieces for a very low price... I was never a shopper until then and now I dont enjoy it at all. Im second grade I learned the word "INFAMY" Always joked, someday my birthday will go down in INFAMY. Be careful what you wish for (even scripture say that) It wasw 3-26-96, that we got the call Gwen had a cloud on her x-ray. It was the start of our battle with cancer. I haven't look forward to my birthday since. Be Careful what you wish for. |
