Oh, I am so sorry,You have my heartfelt condolences on you loss, and my prayers. A sudden death is hard and for you hard still to be so far away when it happened. harder still to come home and have questions, try and find some kind of peace with it and then go back to a war zone, with no time to heal the wounds you suffered in you heart.You had a load of feeling and grief to have to bury deep to go and fight if they surfaced you could get killed or a friend, maybe here you can release these feeling.
Was alot for a young man to have to do.
as for the dreams, I believe ( some someone told me this believe it in not in san Juan) that my husband and friends.. are like the stars... you can't always see them but they're always there ... I find some comfort in that. we all have our stories to tell, hope this group helps, welcome.

And I am glad you wrote all that you did to share your loss with us. I agree with you, writing it all does help. That's why I started this thread; that and to be able to support each other and not feel so alone. Re-entering the dating world can feel like a minefield at times so it helps to share our stories of doing that on a site like this as well.

I read your story and my heart is aching for for your loss. When you went to war she was probably terrified that you wouldn,t return and here it was her that died. Life is full of stange and sad twists and turns . Things we really don,t understand, and never will.
I hope you find some comfort in being with all of us here , I really feel that we are all here for one another.

Just enjoying reading the threads....sure are a lot of players out there today!

I guess my biggest lesson learned through all that was no matter how hard times were for me there was ALWAYS someone else who had it harder. I can't imagine watching someone fade away or holding them when they go. Reading what some of you have gone through makes my problems seem tiny. So, here I sit. Eating a turkey sandwich and some salad. Anyone up for a nice game of mahjong?

Losses are similar in that they all HURT! A sudden death is like a kick in the gut. A long illness is difficult to observe because of the helpless feelings it gives you and the pain of watching the one you love most in the world suffer.

Mahjongg Magic is what I play on my computer when I can't get online. It has been quite since I have won the game but I still enjoy it.

My day was kind of long, but I stayed busy at work. The boss avoided me like the plague all day cause she knew I would have something to say to her if she did come around me.lol But, now I'm home, and just relaxing a little bit before I start laundry..ugh....

I don,t work anymore and I love it. I quit too help out my brother when his wife was dying she wanted to stay at home ,sadly he went first but maybe that was better cause the thought of losing her was really more than he could take. She died 5 weeks later ..so they pretty much went together.
Do you want to do my laundry while you are at it

That is so sad, but then I can see how it would be better too. I think about that last night with Jim sometimes and sure wish I would have gone with him that night, and I would either be by his side now, or he would still be here with me...But, I know I can't change what happened...but the what ifs are sure always present. Sure..bring your laundry on over and I will be glad to do them for ya.. I wish I could retire and just stay home doing what I enjoy but I have a feeling I will be working for a long long time ...When I started there I swore I was there until I retired, so I have at least 9 more longggggg years to go...lol
