Its not really my opinion. If you do it because you like it that has no real purpose other than self gratification, which can be gotten from other things. There are not many other ways to travel long distances quickly except for automobiles. They are however working on making clean burning cars(examples are hydrogen and electric). Are they making clean burning cigs? I think not. self gratification is a purpose. i'm sure you do self gratifying things that serve a purpose, even if just to you, that others find annoying, such as your posts.

I don't smoke anything. Never have and never will. My lungs are going to be given to my daughter if something happens to me or if she needs a lung I will give her one of mine. I have to keep my lungs healthy for her sake.

Cancer kills people and anything that kills must be fought including smoking !. The non smokers share this globe too .  !. Then stop driving I do not want to breath in the fumes from the car. Cars have a purpose, getting people from point A to B. Can you say the same for cigs? Also I am sure more than 20ft from someones car if you are not in the street. I also might add that fumes from a car are hot and are in open air, thus they will rise and unless you are right behind the car you should not breathe them in. And what? I light my smoke with cold fire?  When I exhale it is in open air. And well all smoke rises sorry to say. And my smokes do have a perpus. It relaxes me and helps calm me down when I am feeling stressed. Would you rather me become so depressed that I do not even want to leave my apartment? I know that is taking it to a bit of an extreme, but you get the idea.And if a car is parking on the side of the street and I am walking by, there are fumes, if I am waiting for the light and so is the car, then again there is the fumes. Bad chemicals are everywhere. Not just in our smokes. Look at factories, when they cremate a bodies, when they tar a roof. And I am sure there are many more examples I could come up with but I do not want this post be be any longer. So they are no other forms of anti depressants? Wow, how did the human race ever survive before smoking?(enter sarcasm here) Most places don't say you can't smoke outside. If I am correct we are talking smoking in buildings, there is nowhere for the smoke to go so it lingers. As I already pointed out, they are developing ways to reduce emissions of other forms of pollutants, but not from smoking. And yes, I think its pretty self absorbed if a smoker is gonna whine about going out side when they are having a nic fit. |

ive came home from a restraunt and had to bathe and change my clothes as i reaked of cigarette smoke. Who needs it? yup. Then don't go to that resraunt again, simple as that. just as you do, we all have choices why should i have to make such a choice? i live in a town with one restraunt. hmmmm. to deny that its a filthy, smelly, unhealthy habit not only for the smokers but for everybody around then is to deny the truth. To expect the rest of us to put up with your filthy habit is in my opinion the height of self centerness. I dont care if you want to kill yourself but dont subject others to it please. A little consideration would go a long way here. That is all fine but it should be up to a proprietor of an establishment if he wants to cater to smokers or not and then people need to stay clear if it says smokers welcome if they don't like it. We are slowly losing all of our rights in this country and people do not seem to care. They all want to govern others with their petty little issues. Alcohol should be outlawed too it kills, pollution of all kinds kills, chemicals in our houses kill, plastic, rubber, pharmecuticals, etc.... the list goes on and on. People really need to get over their own petty issues to realize they cannot govern others with their fears. |

I HAVE AN INTERESTING QUESTION PEOPLE. How many of you that don't smoke siggs actually smoke pot and be honest if you can This should end some of you that don't somke siggs and i know a couple of you do Haven't tried pot in 30 years. I prefer to keep my nose clean these days. |

Make us stand 20 feet from the building, not allowed to light up inside, people act like we have some sort of disease, If I wasn't coughing right now, I would find a place and walk in smoking. Unfortuatly, I'm feeling a bit winded, so my mission of equality will have to be put on hold, or until I find my inhaler.

I believe it depends on what kind of establishment and whether it is privately owned. |
