Oh, Lord...I used to BE a wild party person!

Well, not "wild." I always conducted myself as a lady (except that time
I fell down, but that's a whole 'nother story) but I drank enough to
keep Anheiser Bush, et al, in business.

LOL

Before you do that, you need to learn that you don't refer to having sex
with a lady as "hitting it."huh

Well, I know I could never live on a farm and eat the animals I raised.
It'd have to be a chicken farm or a dairy farm.

Hypocritical of me to say that, perhaps, because I do eat meat...but
there's a big difference between eating a "specific" animal and one with
whom you're not "personally acquainted."

My dogs can't verbalize what they want, but they communicate
nonetheless. Dahlia, especially, has shown on numerous occasions that
she understands, quite well, what I'm saying.

Some people think that dogs have the intellect of a three-year-old
child. She certainly seems to. And even Kohl, who is not quite as
"smart," shows he understands most of what I say.

Of course, I'd never eat my dogs, regardless.

Before I pose my real question, I will start with an example to show
where I'm coming from.

You go into a shoe shop, a fellow shopper hands you a shoe and says: " I
was told they don't fit me, I think it will fit you"
You try it on but don't like it at all Do you:

d) Wonder why the H a fellow shopper would be handing me a shoe. ???

Now let's take it a bit further. Somebody posts a thread as a joke.

Another person takes it personally and is informed, that it is not so.

Now he looks around and tells another one: " hey, that was meant for
you"

***

I think by the words used, it's usually pretty easy to tell whether or
not the post was aimed at a specific individual or indivuduals. I think,
even if it was done in a "backhanded way," that one could "claim" it was
meant as a generic "joke," that, if you were to consider previous
discussions, it would be readily apparent how the "joke" was intended
and to whom it was referring.

Without knowing all the specific details, it's hard to say, but,
generally speaking, I think the one who posted the "joke" should be the
one blamed for it.

I'd just ask him. I'd rather get rejected and get it over with, then
agonize about it day after day.

Depends on how busy I am..and then, I'll look at their profile to see if
there's anything about them that interests me.
If there is, then I'll talk to them. If they start out with some
juvenile sexual reference, I'll close out the window.

A nice smile, but it doesn't have to be a perfect smile. Eyes are a
close second.

You create some of the greatest threads on this site...because, they're
fun, but they also make a person THINK!!

Ummm....let's see....

The ability to be impervious to poison ivy would be nice right about
now.

Sighhh...

The fact that you're, by your own admission, an "angry and violent man,"
while it may be "under control," the likelihood of an "outburst" may be
just boiling beneath the surface, and this may well be evident to those
around you.

Before you can have any healthy relationships, you need to get to the
point where even YOU can say you're not an "angry and violent" man. To
even read such a statement gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Another thing is saying that you put women on a pedestal and worship
them. For me, that's a complete turnoff. I can't speak for other women,
but I certainly don't want to be put on a pedestal and worshipped. I'm a
woman, not a statue of some kind of a saint. Who can live up to that
kind of "adoration?" Not me, that's for sure.

I guess the most "daring" thing I did was drive 1500 miles to AZ and
back. Stayed there six months. Didn't like the guy, he turned out to be
a liar, but I ended up quitting drinking and smoking after a 30-year
habit. So something good did come out of it!

I will block people as a way of letting them know I wish no further
communication with them.

I've done it about 11 times in seven years. But three of those weren't
real dates...those were "drive-by dates," at my suggestion.

See, a drive-by date is the "safest" way to date, IMO.

What you do is you arrange to meet in a Walmart parking lot or
wherever...and, when you spot each others' cars, you move toward each
other and slowly start encircling each other, so you can get a good look
at the person.

If you like what you see, then you stop and chat and go from there.

If you don't, you can drive off in a cloud of dust and the smell of
acrid, burning rubber.

But you don't get to shoot them like you would in a real "drive-by."

It's extremely rare I ask anyone for advice, whether in forums or in
real life. The only people I ask for advice are those whom I feel are
qualified to give it and those whom I trust implicitly to give "sound"
advice. I post because I like being a part of discussions (I like
communication) or because I'm just curious to know others' viewpoints.
