This morning I let my dogs out as usual and pretty soon I heard a
commotion outside..

She was going bonkers trying to tear apart a long, flexible drainpipe
that was laying on the lower end of my property.

After about two hours of hearing her whining and frantically trying to
tear it open (and she was succeeding, too! That dog is one determined
...well, you know) I grabbed a pair of gardening "snips" and went
outside to help her find out what was in there.

I was thinking either animal or one of her tennis balls rolled in
there...anyway...cut the thing into a few pieces and, while she was on
one end going bonkers, out of one of the other ends out comes this
little baby possum...scared to death.

Fortunately, neither Dahlia nor Kohl noticed it, and it sauntered off
into the bushes.

I'm wondering, if baby was in there, where's mama and perhaps other
babies, too?

I live in a suburban area, but my lower property is very "woodsy," so
several little wild creatures live here. Little fellow reminded me,
though, that I need to get my dogs' rabies vaccinations updated.

..."doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,"
then...

...how do you account for, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try
again?"

I don't have a clue what this thread is about, but any person who would
choose a mate over their child has got to have a screw loose somewhere.

I would respond with a "hello," too, but, alas, I'm not one of the
traveling ladies.

I haven't been in more than 20 years. But I've thought about going back.
I would attend a nondenominational church this time, though. I wish I
could find a worship service that was held outdoors during warm-weather
months. That would be cool. I always enjoyed weekend retreats when I did
go to church. So nice to get away from the grind and reflect on nature
and God and the spiritual side to life.

I don't think church is mandatory for having a relationship with God,
but I think it does help "set the scene" and enables us to set a aside a
specific time and place to worship Him, whereas, without it, so many of
us don't.

I mean, I pray sometimes, sure, but I don't really take a lot of time
for my spiritual needs or to thank God for all He's done for me.

How can one have a "relationship" via computer? I mean, the only
"relationship" would be through communication. I think that that
communication is a precursor to a relationship, perhaps, but does not
constitute a true relationship, per se.

I guess it's because they want to appear "popular."

Same as it is now, sort of an auburn/chestnut color.

Hmm...the only thing I bought yesterday was a bowl of French onion soup
and a grilled BLT w/cheese sammich for lunch from Applebes and, for
dinner, a liver dinner with bean greens and smashed potatoes from KFC.

Believe in him? As in, think he was real? Of course.

Annabelle is somewhere between 4 and 5, and Kashmir is, I'm guessing,
around 2 or 3.

A very few, yes. Most of them, no. Not that they're not nice people,
but simply engaging in conversation with them in email or the forums
doesn't necessarily make them a "true friend."

But you can "make" people learn tolerance and acceptance, though. You
can do it by educating people, and by raising your children to be
"tolerant" and accepting of others. We shouldn't be tolerant and
accepting of bad behavior from ANY individual, of course, but we should
never judge a person or hate a person based solely on the color of their
skin, etc.
