If I have an argument with someone,I think it can be very constructive,to talk it out.Surely, we only block someone if we really think we cant seem to resolve the argument.What do you think,is blocking just the easy way out? But, sometimes there is no resolution.......????????????? So I have blocked a couple, just so I dont have to split hairs...over and over again.....

I would block someone if they were continously rude or kept verbally attacking me. Who needs that? |

I might use the block feature for "pervs", not for any other reason. Can't imagine an online conversation deteriorating to then extent that blocking was necessary??????  Well, for me....

i only blocked strangers that gave me really sexual ims or emails ps.
that is why i dont have ims on anymore.... too often.. and i blocked my ex bf roflmao!!!!! for stalking me on here...yes my real ex not no online thing that people call their bf that never met lol

I only block harrasers or pervs.

I've never had that problem here, but I can see where, in certain
situations, it might be good to wait a few days before trying to iron things out. Some people need a little more time to cool down. If it's a situation where it's just constant attacks or rudeness, then, yes, I think a permanent block may be justified. |

If it felt right, so be it. I see no need to block anyone, Just ignore them, hit delete. |

I've only block pervs and weirdos. I could not ever imagine arguing
with someone on here to the point of having to block them. If they continued to bother me trough email after a discussion online in a public forum, they graduated to weirdo. |

I agree with you, Tulip, talking is the best thing,but if you cant
resolve whatever the problem is,I would first ask the person to stopcontacting me and if that didnt work, I would block the person. I feel this way, to give the person the oppotunity to do the right thing, then.I know if someone asked me not to contact them anymore, I would not, why waste my time.
