Would you REALLY meet someone in person from online?
If so, then when do you know it's safe to actually meet that person? What are some warning signs to not meet that person? We live in a CRAZY dangerous world. |

yes and i have before... i think you know it is safe after you've
talked to the person and gotten to know them over a time and talked to them on the phone.. i guess build up a friendship.. warning signs not to meet someone.. they talk about love after a week, they want to meet asap, they start to get controlling.. can be done on the internet, or they have a weirdo personality from the beginning you know what im talking about, plus if they want to meet for sex.. don't even go there lol well.. unless you want sex.. then it would be a good idea |

I have a couple times. Meet the person in a public, open place. Lots of
people around. If you get a bad vibe get up and leave. And I never met anyone til a very long time talking to them on here and then later the phone. |

Wow those are some wonderful answers.
I asked because people can be so deceiving. I met a guy who talked about love and having kids way too soon. Then he snapped at me when I was cautious about calling him lol. That scared me |

I've done it about 11 times in seven years. But three of those weren't
real dates...those were "drive-by dates," at my suggestion. See, a drive-by date is the "safest" way to date, IMO. What you do is you arrange to meet in a Walmart parking lot or wherever...and, when you spot each others' cars, you move toward each other and slowly start encircling each other, so you can get a good look at the person. If you like what you see, then you stop and chat and go from there. If you don't, you can drive off in a cloud of dust and the smell of acrid, burning rubber. But you don't get to shoot them like you would in a real "drive-by." |

I have done it -- a BUNCH of times (8 or 9) -- and they were ALL scary
dishonest misrepresentational facades of deception and disingenuousness.... EXCEPT for one -- and she was the best girlfriend I ever had -- So, the bad ones have taught me what to look for, and I hope I have learned enough to avoid another DISASTER -- And the good one left me with just enough hope to think that maybe it could happen again.... |

Yes, I did. I'm glad I met them; they were decent and as advertised. In general common sense tells you - hopefully you're not sooo needy and desperate that you're blinded by fantasy and end up being one of "those" statistics. |
