I used to spend alot more time online than I do now. I would end up talking to guys all the time for long periods of time, then we would just slowly stop talking. sigh.

Hi Viv! I am doing about the same thanks..
My daughter just got married, and they closed on their house an hour away, so I am trying to get used to some quiet here. My son would spend all his time up in his room on the computer if I would let him.

I came here to find people to talk to, and I have. There are some wonderful people in the 50 and over forum! Even when I don't make it in for a while everyone welcomes me back and even send me mail to see where I am. It sure does make a person feel good!
I think deep down we all want to be loved for who we are, and be with someone we can share and relate with. The ones who have already had that with someone probably feel the loss more, and of course will always love the one who gave them such happiness. I have alot of respect for the people here who do say that upfront. I do believe that some of those people can and will find a 2nd chance at real happiness, that does not mean they are being unfaithful to the 1st love, it just means they have found another that they can commit to and share with.
Sadly, after I dated a guy for 1 1/2 years he told me he was too old to have another all consuming love, and that I would never be the center of his universe. He asked me to marry him and be happy with the little bit he could give me. He told me that a comfortable roommate would be the best he could offer. When anyone would call him for anything he would go, but when I would call he would be busy. Since I needed to know I had a special love and that the man could place me in the center of his universe like I would him, we are now friends.

The poor man had his head set on fire while on stage, which caused him pain for the rest of his life. Besides that, he had a disease which caused his skin to bleach out. That is why he started wearing the glove in the first place because his hand was the first to show the effects. Since he was famous, he of course was put under the microscope. I feel terrible for him and his family. Sorry, this is just my opinion,for what it's worth.

I feel young until I look into the mirror. Sigh.

Actually, You can place it in a coffee mug with some salt n pepper, whip it up like making scrambled eggs. Cover with Saran wrap if you have it, and cook for 30 seconds and check it. All microwaves have a different setting, so you will have to just check to make sure it is done the way u wish.

The good thing about this is you can make up the marinade ahead of time, cut the cheese up a day or so in advance (it needs 8 hours in fridge) and then on the day of the party you can just place it on serving dishes.
Marinated Cheese Appetizers
Ingredients
• 1/2 cup(s) olive oil
• 1/2 cup(s) white wine vinegar
• 3 tablespoon(s) (chopped fresh) parsley
• 3 tablespoon(s) (minced) green onions
• 1 teaspoon(s) sugar
• 3/4 teaspoon(s) (dried) basil
• 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
• 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
• 3 clove(s) garlic, minced
• 1 jar(s) (2-oz.) pimiento, drained
• 1 block(s) (8-oz. sharp) Cheddar cheese
• 1 ounce(s) (8-oz. package) cream cheese

Directions
1. Combine first 10 ingredients in a jar, cover tightly and shake vigorously to combine. Set marinade aside.
2. Cut block of Cheddar cheese in half lengthwise. Cut crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices; set aside. Using a knife dipped in very hot water and wiped dry in between slices, cut the cream cheese into 1/4-inch-thick slices.
3. Arrange cheese slices alternately in a shallow baking dish, standing slices on edges. (I have put them into baggies and placed on cookie sheet in fridge.) Pour the marinade over the cheese slices. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
4. Transfer cheese slices to a serving platter in the same alternating fashion, reserving marinade. Spoon marinade over cheese slices. Use cheese forks; serve with assorted crackers .

Do you use the sweetened condensed milk?

I am allergic to coffee, so I had to learn to love tea!
I drink my hot tea straight with nothing in it, and cold tea has to have lemon. I love green tea for a different taste.
