I hate to say it, but I was once told 'there are more beautiful girls out there'!

So, I said 'fine, go and find them then' and I walked out the door!

It was late at night, and there I was in my heels and no cabs around and a long way from home. It was a good thing he came after me, we made up, but we broke up soon after that. Karma bit him.... cos' he invited me to his birthday bash at one time and I was the cause of the breakup with his then girlfriend. She couldn't believe why he wanted to invite me to his house....again!

"This week's 75th Anniversary Post #11/75, highlights the friendship between Bruce Lee and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem met Bruce in 1967: "Here was a strong man, I thought as we talked, this guy doesn't play." Kareem would go on to train with Bruce: "His strength began with his amazing concentration. Bruce showed me how to harness some of what was raging inside me and summon it completely at my will." Their friendship blossomed in the coming years.

In 1972, Bruce asked Kareem to appear in "Game of Death" (pictured in this post).

"Bruce was a wonderful guy. He was a very dedicated family man. He was very loyal to his friends. He really appreciated his friends. Despite being in Hollywood and being in the acting profession, where you've got to deal with a lot of phony people, that fact that he had friends and appreciated them was very special to me. I really miss him a lot."

This is ONE of the most 'beautiful' posts that I have come across in Mingle, so far. I thank you 'profusely' from the crypts of my being, Amelinng. May you stay well, keep smiling & shining, as always. flowerforyou  flowerforyou

PS: "I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine." [Bruce Lee]

Thanks, Kaustuv! I am glad I have managed to post something that is appreciated. And hope further posts will be appreciated too. Thanks again flowerforyou

When I hit the 50s three years ago, it was like unbelievable! OMG.....half a century old!

But remembering in the days when I was a young gal, people in their 50s or 60s looked old. But the modern 50s and 60s are more like people in their 30s or 40s. No doubt some bones may creak and some joints are painful, but some days (I would like to think most days) I feel I can conquer the world and I am undertaking more than I did when I was in my 20s or 30s. I drive faster and is more daring than I was when I was younger too. And good and better at it to boot!

So, the saying 'you are only as old as you feel' does apply!

I have met one, considered a local, but who is still too far away and he was for real! We are friends.
And elsewhere, not local, a few 'real people' on skype!
So, be patient and Good luck, tomato!

and a whole slew of these!

Zee....impressed with your collection!

However, try not to use the disposable ones as it is reported "some factories making disposable chopsticks use sulphur to fumigate and kill mold and industrial hydrogen peroxide to bleach the sticks so they look white, clean and more attractive." Not something I am proud of that the Chinese do, but well!!!!

The plastic ones would be a preferable one to use at restaurants, but I have always liked the ones similar to what you have.

The smell didn't come from me, and I bathe quite frequently, especially before visiting this pub.

You do???? spock  oops OK then flowers

There are faint smells from cat litter boxes to weed lingering around.... Luckily my nose is blocked a little today

Nelio could be on to something then? Combination of whatever residual smell floating around. We need to air the place.
