Enlistment Bounuses?
|
|
haha no not scared easily. And, things that go boom could be fun.. Hmm Like I said hopin to retire out can always change my MOS after my first few years. Lol they tell you that but truth of the matter is once trained into your MOS usually won't change it until reelistment. Also only if it has an opening. Only thing you can trust is what Duck said: if it's in writing on the contract. Best of luck. |

I think the OP has to realize we all come here for a different reasons. Even given that, some peoples reasons change over time.
There are the people looking for the perfect match, some looking to get laid, others just here to talk/chat with people. There is enough information you can gather from profiles/ talking to someone to determine what they are looking for. If you are still confused just ask.. most of us will tell you! |

Enlistment Bounuses?

They offer bonuses based on what jobs they need to be filled. The bigger the bonus the more that specific job is needed, and so on. If you allready signed up and have enlisted it should be in your contract. If you havnt enlisted be careful the recruiter could just be saying that to get you to enlist rite away to fill his quota. That's what I figured. I'm planning on going 11B-infantry. They always need people lol Ground Thumper hmm? Then what he said may or may not be true. Right now the military is considered oversized for the plans of the future administration ... i.e. removal of froces from some hot zones. Army Ground Thumpers are needed true but they are a dime a dozen and easily replaced by Marine detachments. Might want to look into another MOS based on your scores. 89D (believe thats the army version of EoD- Marines is 2356) might be a good one for you to look into- ALWAYS a signing bonus and a reenlistment bonus. Also unlike the Marines, Army 89D go straight into it, in the Marines had to wait till i hit E-5 to start my formal training. Important Sidenote- if you scare easily look somewhere else. Nothing like playing with things that go boom to wake you up in the morning. You only get to make one mistake in that MoS. |

I guess he will be able to collect unemployment. Generally when you are laid off yes. Have him look into it, week delay but it may be enough of a buffer to get him by till he finds another job. Laid off over 1/2 of our shop in the past 6 months.. sucks to see the guys go, hoping to pick back up the good ones when times are better. Best of luck to your rommie! |

Taking a break...
|
|
Do you think that taking a break in a relationship will more likely strengthen it or end it? whomever ,asked first to take a break, is probably seeing someone else or have someone in line! JMO Generally find this to be true. If that person that took a break from you comes back, usually means the "other" thing didn't work out. You really in the mood to be second fiddle? Move on. |

What did you learn from your last relationship? To not make mountians out of mole hills. Enough real issues in every relationship without making more. |

Only to those who don't read profiles. Looks have never been a deal breaker- although having the personality of a rock and the temperament of a badger has. Read a profile, talk to a person and get to know them. Sadly people still don't understand looks fade way before a loving relationship does. |

It's natural. You can't have two dominants because once one is dominate, the other has to be submissive. They can take turns... but usually it is plays out that one is dominant for the majority of the time. My older brother tried explaining this to me. He also explained way you can't have 2 people totally inlove with each other. One has to be more distant thus making the other person more needy- almost like creating a dependency. Seems a morbid concept to me. To this day, still hoping he is wrong... guess time will tell. |
