This conversation goes on 2 or 3 times a week.. sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

We are not knocking "nice guys", but listening to someone complain over and over because they can't get a date gets old. I'm i a nice guy.. perhaps, but on the same token i won't base it on wiether i get a date or not.

@ the OP: human nature draws us to what we find attractive. You can't wear a button that says "nice guy over here". So yes looks generally get you in the door, what you do from there is what matters.

Basically learned it like most of you have, Heads up good luck- pick it up and keep it.. twist i learned, is if it is tails up, pick it up flip it in the air and walk away.
It gives it a 50/50 chance to be heads up and lucky to the someone else who finds it.

I would say it's a belief we have all been taught since we were little. Is it true? Sadly no. A person that does nothing but sit in his/her house all day isn't going to have "density" jump through a window and carry them away.

There are many people in the world that are "compatible" to you, but you have to find them.. and sort past the rest as you go.

As far as being alone forever? You came in alone, you will go out alone. It's what you make of the time you are actually here that matters.

Yeah should really edit that true love part out, more sarcasm then anything. Seems we are all here for differnt reasons. This gives me something to read after work and when i get home from going out. Well congrats. Perhaps you should read my profile and see why i'm here. You are correct this site seems to be more then just about dating... but if i want to see monkeys throw crap at each other, i'll go to the zoo.

As far as it being a hard concept to wrap your head around.. i find it much harder understanding how people can be so bitter. If you can enlighten me, do so.

WHY SOME OF YOU ARE STILL SINGLE.

If you take offense to that so be it, ripping other people apart isn't quite the best impression to make to anyone looking to date you. Don't like someones profile, move on? Is it really that hard to do. Everyone always uses the classic defense "I'm free to give my opinion", well this is my opinion. Different people, different opinions.. and the world still goes on.

The whole point of a profile is to give you some insight into someone you "may" be interested in. If you hate the one liners or the other garbage you see there, you just saved yourself time and effort. So be greatful every profile isn't picture perfect.. saves you the time of finding out someone was never right for you in the first place.

Can't believe i actually read all the pages on this post.. so much bitterness..
