Friendship can fulfill all those things in that advertisement. Friendship is often a commitment to long term trust and companionship that endures the failures which so easily destroy other relationships. Yet it falls far short of the mark to ever near fulfillment of that closer union inside of which even the best of friends dare not tread.   At this point I'd even be happy with a trusted friend and companion. Just having someone to go to dinner and a movie with once in a while would be nice amen and amen |

Hi Tim How are you doing?  do you feel the need to get away? It so hard to be aways and not know how people are doing. That happened to me when I lived in Kansas City and Hurricane Ivan hit Pensacola FL where most of my friends are - it was days before I could contact anyone. Having a chat with the man upstairs is all we can do. that's true - especiall when there is no man here in person :( (backt to that missing love life) |

Have enjoyed reading this thread today - Hello to all you new folks! - Here are the words to a song by a favorite of mine - Kathy Troccoli - "Goodbye for Now". Thought it might give voice to some things for a few of us. Its been 10 years since my David died and I first heard this song. The intensity of missing him has dimmed, but missing all that that kind of relationship can bring has not. ********************** I can't believe you're really gone now Seems like it's all just a dream How can it be that the world will go on When something has died within me? i beg to differ i think it's a very good poem  You sound like a sweet honest person I think you'll find what you seek thank you - I'm just not sure sweet and honest is "in" these days   It's always in One thing for sure that pic seems to be in today you mean the "don't bleed us"? that's something I designed...it was therapeutic :o) It works  its available on CafePress.com - I'll have to revise it if they pass that mess tomorrow. The bottom of the design say "Americans against the Stimulus Theft Package" - I'll have to drop that. |

At 57 I can still do most of what I did at 45. Just takes a little longer & can't carry as much as I used too. I need them to be in shape to carry ME because my back has been so messed up the last two weeks I can hardly walk :o) car accident two years ago - now it goes out without any provocation at all :o( |

Sounds like a piece from the heart. Very nice, I liked this thanks Ron - it IS from the heart- I just keep trying to figure out when my world got so small...except for all you great on-line friends. so, don't laugh, but I think I'm going to join a women's barbershop group. The one here in Tampa is one of the best internationally. That and getting Saturday tickets for the Rays will get me out of the house. I wish I liked car racing...I hear the Nascar folks are great!
