calling women burros?!? Here's the email in question. What the heck is a girl supposed to take from this? lol If there was a wild Burro let loose in the yard I wouldn't even need to put gloves on that wild pony would come up to me tame as a kitten while I gingerly escort her back to her wild lands later she'd invite me over for oats and carrots. one who is perpetually single for life. how very true |

So I agree w/ one of the other posts, how do you know they are shallow and selfish if they don't message you? I bet the reason they don't message you back is b/c they are so hot, that they're getting tons of messages and just don't have the time to reply to EVERYONE, & often when you reply it starts a chain of communication that they are just not interesting in having. Just keep trying, it doesn't matter how many write you back, it matters that the right one writes you back!!!! Well said, Beachy ... you should join us here more often! |

Not that difficult, actually ...
to make a link active in these forums, just stick the tag [ url ] on the front and [ /url ] on the back (without the spaces ... putting spaces in was the only way I could get them to show up and not turn everything in between into a "link" that would have gone nowhere) ... that's all I did |

Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and a smile (((Marge))) Has Mike been talking to you? Zepplin boxers I have missed you...((((Ed)))) I have missed you too (((Marge))) It is a pleasure seeing you on-line. I guess it was a good guess. Most folks from your area are Leafs fans. Cleveland doesn`t have a NHL team anymore. Columbus and Pittsburgh do. You may shoot me, but I`m a Pittsburgh Pens fan. Silk striped pyjama's and a top hat Ed, I cheered for the Pens in the Stanley Cup this year, I couldn't stand the idea of the Red Wings winning again. It was great seeing Crosby lift that cup over his handsome head. We have season tix to the Leafs but 41 years since a Cup is beyond drought season!! I certainly understand the My football team is the Eagles ... three titles, last one in 1960, several years before the Super Bowl era began My hockey team is the Blues ... appeared in the SC Finals their first three seasons in the NHL, got swept all three times, and haven't been back since My only saving grace is that my baseball team is the Cardinals, but even they just ended a 24-year drought without a WS Championship! [But they are the only team in the major leagues besides the Yankees with double-digit WS titles!] |

If you were president
|
|
I recently asked my friends' little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do? ' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.' Her parents beamed. 'Wow...what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that.. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and rake my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house. ' She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ' Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50? I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.' Her parents still aren't speaking to me. I've heard/read this several times, and it still makes me smile every time! |

Something to Ponder

Colorado found an out for that. They can't increase taxes here by much because of a law we voted in so they are now increasing fees on everything associated with the government. I do understand why we need the increases with population growth so I believe we should increase taxes and cover the programs we have. The problem with that is that, historically, lowering taxes has proven to increase revenues substantially, due to people being more willing to take risks like opening new businesses or hiring more employees for an existing business. When taxes are raised, or if there is the fear that they will be raised, people will be much tighter-fisted with their money and the economy will be, at best, stagnant. |

Biggest turnoff about a profile is anyone under age 25 with kids. It is disturbing. While I'm certainly not looking for someone under 25 at this point, if I were, it definitely wouldn't bother me if she had children. I'm trying to figure out exactly what would be "disturbing" about that ... |

profiles? I just threw up in my mouth a bit.. One thing that totally turns me OFF in profiles that I read, that view me or want to "match" with me: "I love to please, looking for a woman who loves to be pleased". What turns you off? The fact that 97.3% of them are all exactly the same 12-15 cliches randomly assembled in slightly different orders.... The fact that few bother to say anything about themselves, about who they are, why they're here, what they're looking for.... The fact that no thought goes into the summary, into the pics, into anything.... The fact that most profiles are slightly less comprehensible than one written by a blindfolded duck.... The fact that people will post pics of more than one person, and never bother to say which one the profile belongs to.... I really could write a book.... That's always great when you get to guess, isn't it? I've seen some profiles (here and other sites) that have ONE picture, and there are multiple women in the picture ... and no indication as to which one is the one writing the profile! |

I've looked at a bunch that have posted today ... I finally found one that says "Seen within the last day" ... so obviously you don't always have to wait that long to know. However, it took going through several profiles before I found that one. Perhaps a lot of people have that particular notification turned off. If that's the case, then you'll actually have to step out and message them if you want to find out whether they're active or not. If you don't hear anything back from them, you have your answer. Just don't freak out about it.
