thanks TG.. I actually have "sleeves" and "leggings" in that type of fabric.. it's just for mowing and trimming I can't use'em cuz of the bugs.. I have to wear heavier clothes to protect myself from bee, wasp and mosquito bites.. which we have in abundance up here.. plus black flies & horse flies are nasty biters too.. I wear my sleeves'n leggings when I'm out doing errands or visiting others in the burbs/city.. but for yardwork at home.. no choice but to wear heavier garb..

I'll check to see where else they sell'em tho.. cuz Amazon is pricey.. sadly.. especially once you convert the USD to CAD pricing..

not too bad out.. currently 63F with a high of 73F (79F with heat index) so not too bad.. but.. that's what they predict.. doesn't mean a thang.. but I got trimming and lawn ta take care of so.. best get to that 'fore it gets hotter.. my vitiligo forces me into long sleeves'n long pants and very wide brimmed hats'n gloves so I'm covered head ta toe.. makes hot weather even hotter..

well.. it's been a long day.. got all the painting done.. wood's dried and stored for when I can put them up.. tomorrow's a provincial holiday so everythings closed and after I mow'n trim the lawn, I'm told I shud have visitors.. we'll see if they show

ahhhh.. the cool of the morning encourages open windows, fresh air flowing thru, and saving electricity on using A/C ta cool the house down

currently at 68F with a high of 75F (humidex puts it at 82F) so painting this morning is a must to avoid the heat of the afternoon sun.. which'll be awesome for curing the painted wood.. so that's the task of the day cuz tomorrow it's lawn & trim day if I wanna get that done before the rain hits (as predicted) on Thursday..

so I bid y'all a super Tuesday (yup, it is, I checked ) and catch ya laters

I crossed paths with an indigenous person some years ago who was in a desperate way.. he was homeless and hadn't eaten much in some time.. something about him encouraged my trust and I invited him to come to dinner and then to stay with us.. after dinner he was so appreciative that he insisted on doing something to repay our generosity.. he noticed I had beads that my daughter and I made bracelets with.. he pulled out deer sinew and proceeded to show me how to make dreamcatchers.. along with explaining the symbolism.. when he finished his first one (it was a small one) he took out sweetgrass and proceeded to show me the blessing and how to connect someone to the protection of the dreamcatcher.. over the next few weeks he stayed with us, he taught me how to make jewerly as well, as his forefathers did before him, centuries past.. I was humbled and honored he chose to repay me in this way.. and still make both today as a nod to this ancient craft..

okay so.. after going ta pick up the paint.. called ma dr's office ta book my follow up after bloodwork appointment.. my niece answered and ended up on the phone with her for about 30 mins.. then my sister texted and ended up calling HER and was on the phone for over 3.5 hrs.. so... gave up on doin any painting.. hardly slept last night so it's not like I had an abundance of energy anyways.. I did some indoor chores tho.. kitchen looks clean lol


hopefully I'll sleep easily tonight instead of tossin'turnin.. that wud be appreciated cuz the weather now says tomorrow's supposed to be clear all day, no rain.. I'd get ta finish all that painting FINALLY and move to next steps.. cuz I don't have $$ for shingles this year I did manage ta score a HUGE discount on high quality exterior wood paint so I'm gonna put 2 coats on that plywood roof and not worry about it until next summer.. YAY.. 1 problem solved.. now.. ta get that roof up.. challenage # 2

only 6 more rafters ta paint YAY.. although I can't put'em up on my own.. not yet anywho.. have 2 ta take down and they're the outside supports.. they're too high up without using a big ladder (12ft) and I am not great with heights not while trying to lift'n remove 2x6x14's that is.. the deck one's are easier cuz they're only 7.5 ft high and managable on my own once I screw in the metal joist supports.. but I need those exterior ones out so I can add the cross beam support.. kind of a catch 22 at this point

I'll figure something out tho.. always do.. part of ma "outside the box" way of thinkin lol

anywho.. best get back to it while it's NOT rainin..

well.. I did manage ta get 2 coats on the support beams.. YAY.. however.. only got 1 coat on the roof rafters (joists) on 3 sides.. then the thunder started.. so I raced ta get everything put away and the lumber covered before the rain hit.. but it never did I'm mad it didn't rain cuz I was close ta being finished, at least all sides of 1 coat.. UGH.. mind you.. I hurt like a son-of-a-gun tho.. those 2x6x16's and 2x6x14's are friggen heavy and awkward to maneuver.. but I guess it's a good thang.. I was runnin outta paint

so tamarra I gotta go get more paint..

anywho.. it's late.. I gotta get ready fer bed so.. hope everyone had a super Sunday and is enjoyin their evening..

WOOHOO.. and.. she's back YAY.. safe'n sound!!



not this time Slim.. that wud'a been cool tho.. maybe next year who knows huh.. sadly.. I ain't goin to the USA until you-know-who's gone.. long gone'n things change for the better.. not interested in spendin time in any detention centers..

so it turned out the rain started WAYYYY earlier than predicted.. I only got 2 coats of paint on 1/2 the wood before the rain started.. the other has only 1 coat.. bummer.. it's been thunder'n lightening ever since about 11:30am.. so I made the pizza instead.. this time I fried up some onions, cooked some bacon and used veggie soup as a base.. of course I added some mozzarella.. actually tasted pretty decent.. I forgot ta get the pizza sauce when I went shopping and how I ended up with cream of mushroom soup then vegetable soup instead.. both being condensed they were quite thick so.. worked out pretty well.. hey.. one has ta adapt when missing ingredients

anywho.. never did finish painting those support beams.. it's supposed ta rain all week too.. I'm gonna go get ready fer bed.. hoping the electricity doesn't go out again.. did earlier.. thankfully just after I had made my supper.. oh yay lol
