In your opinion can a guy and a girl be best friends?Without having any feelings for one another. Most Definitely Mirror. I have lots of friends that are guys and always have since I was little. I was the only girl on both sides of the family for 14 years so guys were all I had to hang out with. My very best friend is a guy and we have been friends for over 16 years with no romantic feelings. |

Is it wrong not to want to take her since she will have already seen it? I feel like its left overs. Part of the issue is this woman was my best friend before she helped destroy my marriage. So I really don't want my daughter hanging out with her. This woman drinks excessively now and is not nice to my kids. My ex and this woman have put my kids in dangerous situations several times. If she and your ex are putting your kids at risk and in such dangerous situations.. I would tell the courts or even DHS.. some one or something that can do something about it so your kids won't be in any more dangerous situations like that. Have reported them several times. Unfortunately the courts have swung so far the other way nothing was ever done. |

I'm a divorced Mom with 3 kids. I have scrimped and saved to buy my kids Christmas this year. I have no desire to compete with my Ex who is able to buy the kids anything they want, I just wanted to get a little something for them. My daughter is a big theatre buff and has talked non stop about wanting to see a broadway play. So...I finally managed to save enough to buy her tickets to see "Wicked". This is the only present I bought her. My ex had called and told me what all he bought her and so I thought I was safe. Well... Guess what...he hurried up and had Christmas with the kids and bought her ....what else...Wicked Tickets. I'm so hurt. Not only did he buy her a ticket but she is going with the whore that he divorced me for! Do I have a right to be upset? Now I have nothing to give her for Christmas as I don't have the money to buy anything else. You have NO idea! THis is just one thing in a loooong list! |

Not wanting her to be around her father's new woman is different, but I am sure she will love the show. When I went to see it, I would have gone back in for the evening performance that night. Tell her you bought the tickets and didn't know that her father got them too. Don't spoil a special memory you two will have together just because he took her to see the same show. THanks for the advice |

When is the performance you are taking her to? Maybe you will be in luck and it will be before he takes her. And if not, don't worry, the show is fantastic so she will want to see it again. Mine are 2 weeks after his |

While it would be nice not to stress about paying the bills, NO. After a horrible marriage I know I want the REAL thing. LOVE, RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP, HONESTY, COMPANIONSHIP. The whole deal!!

You can totally connect with someone with out seeing them! It actually makes the eventual first meeting much easier as you already know so much about each other. Becoming friends first is the best way to develop a lasting relationship. My parents and grandparents were great examples of that!! Just be completely honest with each other and let things happen naturally!

Go to the website Franshade posted. You can actually calculate what your child support will be if you know what his income is. I live in Indiana and my ex moved to Kentucky. Everything went through Indiana and the county I live in. The child support calculator is exactly what my attorney used to figure out how much he was to pay and that is what the courts also used. Attorneys here in Southern Indiana run about 200.00 per hour. In child support cases it is highly recommended to have an attorney and do NOT use the same one he does. Also, current Indiana law requires child support to be paid until the child is 21.

It wasn't much, I would say less than $50. But being a single mom, and having a mortgage, and christmas to pay for, things are over extended this month. It is making me SICK! She doesnt even know yet, noone does. Other than you all... I just needed to vent.. Does anyone has any advise as to how to calm down??? Throwing darts at my ex's picture works well for me!! |

I'm so sorry! Trying to explain to a 5 year old is difficult enough without friends or family being the problem! Have you talked to your friend about this yet?

This is a very touchy subject for so many. I have talked with my Grandma about this as she was a military wife. She says this time really isn't any different than any other. I have numerous family members in the military and some in the sand box for the 3rd time. One by his choice, he volunteered to take his battalion back. The important thing is that we support our men and women regardless of our thoughts or feelings about the war itself or the president. As one of my cousins pointed out there is much more going on and at stake than we realize. He insists the media twists everything and that we are accomplishing something good. Does he want this to continue...heck NO!!! He is just so tired of being treated as less than human because he chooses to defend our country and the rights we have. Pretty sad if you ask me.
