A family member of a friend stole my daughters piggy bank!

I am so angry! Because my poor daughter (who is only 5) had been saving to buy ME a present. I dont have the money to replace it right now.

I am just so angry...How does someone steal from a little girl?

This is going to end LOTS of friendships for me too!

I am just so hurt and angry! URGH!mad madexplode explode explode rant rant rant pitchfork pitchfork rant devil devil grumble explode

I'm so sorry! Trying to explain to a 5 year old is difficult enough without friends or family being the problem! Have you talked to your friend about this yet?

It wasn't much, I would say less than $50. But being a single mom, and having a mortgage, and christmas to pay for, things are over extended this month.

It is making me SICK! She doesnt even know yet, noone does. Other than you all... I just needed to vent..

Does anyone has any advise as to how to calm down???

I am also embarassed. I mean this was in MY home! My daughter wasn't here, but a few of my friends were here yesterday watching football. After the game everyone left, the young cousin came back in to grab his cell phone and the money was gone...(the whole bank was gone!)

This is my home, I feel like I dropped the ball on my daughter.

I play violent video games. SO I can safely vent my frustration on bits of data and coding that forms pictures.

Yeah, that's pretty damn low. Absolutely no class whatsoever.

If you know positively, I'd call the police. Doesn't matter who they are.

Ya thats what they do rip off their friends.
Most times I have been ripped off it was by someone that I knew. Most of the time it is.
Take a deep breath and know ~ what goes around comes around.....they will get theirs....But if you can help it along NAIL their a$$ Hope U can move on and have a good Christmas in spite of them...DON'T let them take that too

Confront him!!!

Tell him you KNOW he took it and you expect it back ALL of it or you report it to the police...if you dont say something he thinks he got away with it.. if you do nothing he DID get away with it

I'd just call the grown ups if you think it was that one young cousin person, just to complain and lament. OR JUST CALL THE YOUNG COUSIN!
DON'T ACCUSE!!! Just go on and on about how someone amongst you all would have the audacity to do such a thing, how your child is beside herself, had planned on a gift for you and to give the rest to a food bank, pour it on thick....how awful it would be to not be able to have people over knowing that SOMEONE would have to have an eye kept on them....

MAYBE something positive will come of it.

That's a wretched thing to do, for sure.
