First, the insistence on the part of religious hierarchy that sacred writings must be interpreted in concrete, rather than figurative, terms. While this may constitute job security for unimaginative clerics more bent on controlling people than instilling reverence for divinity, it also creates a sense of vagueness and unreality around those teachings and reduces their credibility as a whole among educated and uneducated people alike.

Secondly: The average person of faith tends to be less well educated and capable of expression/communication than the average heathen. Well I pointed out tolerance as being one potential way to alleviate some of these tensions between peoples and nations. And singling out Muslims as being the root of all evil is not exactly what I would refer to as espousing the doctrine of tolerance. I guess thats just me though. Peace.

No, I dont even know you. I was addressing your baseless and ungrounded assertions that Muslims are terrible people and Christians are in some respect "better". Better becomes quite subjective when you are all going around killing people. The more devout you are the more you view murder and mayhem as being acceptable. Thats been my observation.
