Religion is not all bad, Quite those opposite is more true. If it had not been for catholic charities I would have had no food to eat a few years ago! "All things work together for the betterment of Gods kingdoms" -(Jesus) It is hard for me to understand that one, espesicialy when I witness mean acts carried out on others. But, I will continue to believe in Christ. I would rather er on the side of goodness that meanness. PS. Gods loves the sinner, He just hates the sin!

13:1 Revelation

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

John sees a sea monster with 7 heads and 10 horns, with "blasphemy" written on on each head. It looked like a leopard, except its feet were like a bear, and its mouth like a lion.

"All the world" worshiped the dragon and the beast. laugh laugh laugh
Unfortunatly, the muslim extemist group that is responsible for many terrorist attacks have decided to only pick at the surface about what the beast is! They honestly believe in there hearts that the U.S. of America is the beast that rose up out of the sea. It is not there fault they believe this, someone afflicted with a vengful heart taught them that. It is there fault that they choose to bring harm to other human beings. But I'm not there judge,God is! Pray for peace,,,please!

some people are in church every minute of every day

and some people live just to bash those who are
The reference I like about this is : whenever two ar more are gathered in my name there also I shall be. I believe Christ in the intercessor in prayer. So, when ever we are in prayer we are at Church, that is, Christ's church, not some organized religion thing that is usually based on tradition rather than fact or truth! God bless ya

I had one if you want to call it that. At least i thought it was over.

I have posted the whole story before so this will be wattered down.

During the flood of 93 i was working in a substation they determined where i was working for 3+ hours at 115 degrees the next day.

I mesed up and grabbed a hot current circuit. metering. When i pulled this plug apart i was being thrown around at 1st like a ragdoll 230lbs... I tried to yell could not see could here cracking of electricity. tried to jump away from it could not. I saw my life flash before me fast fromm when i was young.

Finally i said in my head"Yahshua Help me" imediately i was let go and taken to a burn unit. Did test all night. Dr. just scratched his head and said you can go all the tests are normal.

Got called into my sup's office asking me if i wanted to take a less dangerous job. I said no. He said you are not taking this seriously. You are the only person in our history to ever survive this. 12000 employess. and then no injuries. He just shook his head like the dr and i went back to work.

I would consider that NDE.but i was not dead and i only saw my past. Miles
Yea, I would call that a near death experiance alright. There are lots and lots of different descriptions of them. One of the the things about all three of mine I have in common with yours. It was at hte instant that I called out "Jesus Christ help me" that I returned. I sure wish I could remember more. Every once in a while somthing will happen and I will remember that is was part of what I saw during the last one. Not dejavu, but from the vision of the future I had during the last NDE! kinda makes me wonder about this space time thing we here about!

I still don't know much to say about it but I hope those in need can remember that simple lesson at a time when they need it most.
Amen, or in english, so be it! I kind'a like John 3:16

Discussion forum posts like these illustrate so very well the two major problems facing religion (any religion, not just Xtianity) today:

First, the insistence on the part of religious hierarchy that sacred writings must be interpreted in concrete, rather than figurative, terms. While this may constitute job security for unimaginative clerics more bent on controlling people than instilling reverence for divinity, it also creates a sense of vagueness and unreality around those teachings and reduces their credibility as a whole among educated and uneducated people alike.

Secondly: The average person of faith tends to be less well educated and capable of expression/communication than the average heathen. People of intelligence start to gain the impression that religious figures (Jesus, the Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, etc.) were just a bunch of dorks who went around shooting their mouths off and getting more than their fair share of attention, rather than men and women who were enlightened, intelligent, and highly educated. yours in Chaos, Scarlett
Cool! not sure how that relates but thanks for sharing. I would be careful with the divinty thing, the men that wrote those passages took that word from the latin root which means to divide. I'm resonably sure Christ was about unity! Love ya

You'll find your answer to the "mark of the beast" in the old testament, not the NT. good luck in your search.
To truely understand the message of the Bible we must study the whole thing. It is not to be taken lightly. It takes the ability to look at the whole situation in any circumstance to have undefiled knowledge. Once you achieve that you are said to have understanding. Then through the action of using the understanding you develope wisdom. Or at least thats the way it is expressed in the Old Testiment, as well as by the eldors of all of the Native American Tribes I have visited with on this subject.

you are not incorrect my friend, that is a first people way, but what is learned in the N.T. will lead you to the truth to be found in the old Testament, which, if you have found the truth there - will show you you have only gleened one small facet of the truth you seek, as you state you have found knowledge, but wisdom eludes you as of yet.

That faith-moving-mountains thing I learned in Sunday School so I'm not sure what to discuss about it. Maybe I should just pat myself on the back and see where my pride takes me. Maybe Krisma can stone me until I am the size of a mustard seed.

Have you ever considered that we ALL will experience only THAT in which we believe in,
'to see'?

Yet who's to say that GOD did not at our making
give within us all this projection to each witness at our own passing?
Yes I have considered it! but when I pinch myself it hurts!

By the way, I do not know it all! And I never will while I occupy this human body! I have however had what we call near death experiance's thre time's. One of the things I remeber about the other side is that I possesed all knowledge. I could not however bring it back with me. I also remember during the last one which occured in 1985 that is was my choice to come back. There were many on the other side that I knew, they were trying to talk me out of coming back for the sake that I had made it. But I felt as though I wanted to come back again. Not so sure I will feel that way the next time!
I'm just curious about your NDE experiences. During any of them, did you have any perception of the "material world", such as seeing or hearing the people or things in the vacinity of where your body was located?
Yes, there were people around me that were not passed, and people who had passed, I could only communicate with the people who had passed like we are communicating, but for some reason I seem to remmeber being able to communicate some how wiht a select few of those who had not passed. There wer no bright lights or any thing. It was instant. Both the passing and the returning. One of the things that puzzle me is the not being able to remember much. For some reason I brought back a thought about a Reference point of some kind. The only significance I have related to that is possibly the begining of evil in the human race and what caused it???? and here we are now!

Well then, why doesn't he come back and explain himselfhuh
He never left, only the physical is away! that's kinda off subject, but it has to do with what time actualy is! Don't worry he will appear when the Father wants him to!
