Religion is not all bad, Quite those opposite is more true. If it had not been for catholic charities I would have had no food to eat a few years ago! "All things work together for the betterment of Gods kingdoms" -(Jesus) It is hard for me to understand that one, espesicialy when I witness mean acts carried out on others. But, I will continue to believe in Christ. I would rather er on the side of goodness that meanness. PS. Gods loves the sinner, He just hates the sin!

13:1 Revelation And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? John sees a sea monster with 7 heads and 10 horns, with "blasphemy" written on on each head. It looked like a leopard, except its feet were like a bear, and its mouth like a lion. "All the world" worshiped the dragon and the beast. |

I had one if you want to call it that. At least i thought it was over. I have posted the whole story before so this will be wattered down. During the flood of 93 i was working in a substation they determined where i was working for 3+ hours at 115 degrees the next day. I mesed up and grabbed a hot current circuit. metering. When i pulled this plug apart i was being thrown around at 1st like a ragdoll 230lbs... I tried to yell could not see could here cracking of electricity. tried to jump away from it could not. I saw my life flash before me fast fromm when i was young. Finally i said in my head"Yahshua Help me" imediately i was let go and taken to a burn unit. Did test all night. Dr. just scratched his head and said you can go all the tests are normal. Got called into my sup's office asking me if i wanted to take a less dangerous job. I said no. He said you are not taking this seriously. You are the only person in our history to ever survive this. 12000 employess. and then no injuries. He just shook his head like the dr and i went back to work. I would consider that NDE.but i was not dead and i only saw my past. Miles |

I still don't know much to say about it but I hope those in need can remember that simple lesson at a time when they need it most. |

Discussion forum posts like these illustrate so very well the two major problems facing religion (any religion, not just Xtianity) today: First, the insistence on the part of religious hierarchy that sacred writings must be interpreted in concrete, rather than figurative, terms. While this may constitute job security for unimaginative clerics more bent on controlling people than instilling reverence for divinity, it also creates a sense of vagueness and unreality around those teachings and reduces their credibility as a whole among educated and uneducated people alike. Secondly: The average person of faith tends to be less well educated and capable of expression/communication than the average heathen. People of intelligence start to gain the impression that religious figures (Jesus, the Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, etc.) were just a bunch of dorks who went around shooting their mouths off and getting more than their fair share of attention, rather than men and women who were enlightened, intelligent, and highly educated. yours in Chaos, Scarlett |

You'll find your answer to the "mark of the beast" in the old testament, not the NT. good luck in your search. you are not incorrect my friend, that is a first people way, but what is learned in the N.T. will lead you to the truth to be found in the old Testament, which, if you have found the truth there - will show you you have only gleened one small facet of the truth you seek, as you state you have found knowledge, but wisdom eludes you as of yet. That faith-moving-mountains thing I learned in Sunday School so I'm not sure what to discuss about it. Maybe I should just pat myself on the back and see where my pride takes me. Maybe Krisma can stone me until I am the size of a mustard seed. |

Have you ever considered that we ALL will experience only THAT in which we believe in, 'to see'? Yet who's to say that GOD did not at our making give within us all this projection to each witness at our own passing? |

By the way, I do not know it all! And I never will while I occupy this human body! I have however had what we call near death experiance's thre time's. One of the things I remeber about the other side is that I possesed all knowledge. I could not however bring it back with me. I also remember during the last one which occured in 1985 that is was my choice to come back. There were many on the other side that I knew, they were trying to talk me out of coming back for the sake that I had made it. But I felt as though I wanted to come back again. Not so sure I will feel that way the next time! |
