What will you do if the whole basis of your understanding of this life, and the after this life, (whatever that may be) doesn't exist?

If you knew without any doubt that there is no heaven, no redemption, nothing like what you believe is after this life, what might you do?

So why do people lie and claim to know something they cannot know?

very true, that is why so many will be decieved, a lot of christians take some preachers word for everything without questioning or doing some study on their own. I get a kick out of the chips and tatoos stories, satan is much smarter than that, most, even ill informed christians wouldn't fall for that. They will be working for him and worship him thinking that he is actually christ returned.

You are a very interesting author. Do you believe that the Great Spirit, God, Jeweh, The Almighty, and many more are all the same? and Do you believe that man can ever own anything in the way of material stuff?

So ANY fundamentalist group is potentially dangerous correct? Not merely the Muslims. The Christians have been every bit as caustic over the centuries if not more so. And of course the US foreign policy in the Middle East had nothing to do with instigating these attacks correct? Hmmm.

Supposedly the tentets of Catholicism is that they use the New and Old Testaments, Papal Declarations, Apocrypha, and Catholic Chruch tradition.

They also say that only the Pope can speak for Christ and determine the correct interpretation of the word of the bible.

Protestantism denounced the tenets of the Catholic church and proclaimed that they will only follow the New and Old Testaments, and no man shall speak for Christ or be the interpreter of the Holy Scriptures. Only the Holy Spirit can do that.

But then ironically the Protestants all went on to become individual Paper Popes. They all want to claim to have knowledge of what the Bible says and how it should be interpreted.

This is why there are literally thousands of denominations of Protestantism. They all disagree on what the Bible says.

I mean when you stop and think about it, it could never work. The only way they could stick to their tenet that only the Holy Spirit can guide the reader would be to have no preachers! Have you ever seen a Protestant Chruch that has no preacher?

Although there actaully may be some denominations that do that!

My sister attended a "church" that had no preacher. They did have an 'organizer' who helped organize the services. But the services were actually all conducted by volunteers from the congregation that would get up and share whatever they felt like sharing.

Of course, that church wasn't based on Christianity of protestanism at all, but it was open to people of all faiths. They had no restrictions. I think it was even acceptable to get up and tell eveyone why you think life sucks and there is no God, (if you truly felt like doing that).

That would be blaspheme according to the Bible. But as a protestant I woudln't be allowed to say that because then I would be a man interpreting what the Bible says! Only the Holy Spirit is allowed to do that by their tenet which the never adhere to!
