I told my Mom I was talking to someone online...and she said, "He could be a serial killer for all you know!" So I didn't bother to tell her it was through a dating site.  My own mother doin the old double standard too, since she thought it was nice when my brother met his wife online. They've been married 11 years now.  Stupid brother gets all the breaks.  Your mother sounds like my brother-in-law the cop. I get to listen on a regular basis about "all the people" in the country that have been murdered by people that they met online. |

It takes two to make a relationship work. That is two people to: 1) keep the relationship interesting, 2) the romance alive, and 3) the excitment and attraction going. Little love notes, pleasant surprises, flowers, asking your mate out on a date (even though you have been together 6 weeks, months, or years) can help. Who knows maybe I am way off base but I have watched lots of relationships fall apart because only one person was taking a vested interest in keeping the relationship alive and strong. Ninety percent of the time the other person quit trying once they had the other one.
