I relate a lot in life to music and baseball. Some makes sense, and some is confusing. |

Woo woo to all who can still do it ... and for those that can't STFU .... there! One of my internet slang terms .... But when it comes to romancing the gals... I use straight forward Canadian English with a little Queen's English thrown in , just to be clear ... you are always well spoken and smooth Slim |

I don't appreciate slang or ridiculous abbreviations if there's romance or wooing involved. It can become quite confusing when one receives a "I like you... LOL". I don't know how to respond to that. But, I do enjoy emojis and I have a few favourite ones that I use and that I like receiving from my "love interest". With that said, I use slang if I'm annoyed and trying to make a point. I tend to use words when I am annoyed .. including some very colourful ones . |

For all the mingle youngsters .. woo means to win someone’s heart ...and woo woo is something else when using your slang thang |

When I was very young my mother always told me, "use your words". I have tried to follow that advice ever since. I rarely use initialisms in any kind of written correspondence. But I will occasionally tell an obvious scammer to, "GTFOH". as far as emoticons go my favourite would be I don’t think it is possible to overuse it on a dating site . |

Well this is barely on topic but... When I was in college and the guys would call to ask you out, they would always say the worst possible thing.."Are you doing anything Saturday night?" So, when they would ask if I was doing anything I would always say 'No, but I think I can get out of it." There was always confusion, before the laughter. So guys frame that question differently because you force the chica to admit she has nothing going on before you even ask her out. |

Hi Etsin any loss of life is a tragedy Who do you think should be held accountable for the migrant lives lost ..the country they fled from ? the country they were fleeing to ? Countries who failed to help save lives ? There is seldom fairness in life or death . The world is not a fair place . The issue is for a pertinent thread and not this one to comment about. To be fair I would say this thread is no longer viable so it is okay to turn attention to your post ., unless of course you have nothing to say on the matter |
