well i must admit b4 i read the profile of a nice lady on here i offered to take her out to dinner because our posts seemed to click so well but then i went to her profile and low and behold it said she was involved with someone i immediately sent another e-mail with an apology and said i hope you can just take it as a compliment and she said that of course she would but i doubt she will read this to confirm or deny it never know tho I think that is very honorable and respectable of you to email her back with an apology. That says a lot about your character |

Im also on okcupid.com... as is my beau.. and he also gets women messaging him asking which hours I work or if he's available to "host" an affair... like ahem, no. lol. I also get a loooot of men interested in unfaithfulness since I have funky work hours, im home virtually all afternoon, while my bf works 8-4:30. its the perfect cheating scenario... and I find myself more irritated than flattered when a man says to me "You're really pretty.. why are you single?" I just want to yell back "Dont pretend to be interested. you didnt even take the time to read my profile.. jerk face!" lol |

Yes. My ex was quite the flirt... and there was a lot of "emotional cheating"... but we'd go to parties, and Id walk into the room and catch him smacking a girls tush or playfully touching. There were 2 occasions where a 3rd party told me he kissed another girl.. but I tried to not hold that against him since I didnt witness it myself. (benefit of the doubt, if you will)
so we broke up. and then he convinced me to come visit him and hang out, and i did... and he managed to convince me of how much he loved and missed me.. kissing the ground i walk on and luring me into bed... successfully... and in the morning his phone made the text alert sound, and i read it.. and it was from another girl!! It was like "good morning baby. i cant wait to see you tonight. dont forget... 7 oclock. I love you. byez" and then i poked through his phone and he had mass text messages.. he'd text "hey beautiful, i just wanted you to know i was thinking about you" to like 4 different girls!!! I took all that as a learning experience. Cheat on me... and you die.

I completely agree. What is very sad is people in here, who are obviously taken and only here for the forums... get mails from members asking if they are interested, or even just send flirtacious messages with compliments and not just friendly overtures. Sometimes they guise it in the form of friendship, and others are blatant and say to "hit them up" if things don't work out. That is in such poor taste. What happened to the golden rule? 
It is quite true. I am taken, which I dont conceal on any level.. and i get numerous emails daily containing at least one of the following: "How you doing baby? Youre gorgeous.. why are you single?" "Hey starry, youre hot. What you need is a real man. Email me sometime" "Im going to be in town for a day or two and i was wondering if you would escort me around grand rapids" (escort? i think not.) |
