It did NOT say Christ is the end of the law......to everyone that believeth.... but Christ is the end of the law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS to everyone that believeth." |

Moreover, the blessings that were appended to the keeping of the law ought to have induced men to keep it; look again at those words I quoted just now: "Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord." This did not mean that the man who kept God's law should merely exist; there are some in these degenerate days who seek to make out life to be existence, and death to be annihilation, but there is little likeness between the words, or between what those words mean. "He shall live in them," said the Lord concerning the man who kept his law; and there is a fullness of blessedness couched in that word, "live." If men had kept the covenant of the Lord,—if Adam, for instance, had kept it in the garden of Eden, the rose would have been without a thorn to tear his flesh, and the enjoyment of life would never have been marred by the bitterness of toil or grief. But, alas! notwithstanding all these solemn sanctions of the ancient covenant, men did NOT keep it. The promise, "This do, and thou shalt live," NEVER PRODUCED any doing that was worthy to be rewarded with life; and the threatening, "Do this, and thou shalt die," NEVER KEPT any man back from daringly venturing into the WRONG ROAD which leadeth unto death. The fact is, that the COVENANT OF WORKS, if it be looked upon as a way of safety, is a TOTAL FAILURE. NO MAN ever persevered in it unto the end, and NO MAN ever attained unto life by keeping it. NOR CAN WE , now that WE ARE FALLEN, ever hope to be better than our unfallen covenant-head, Adam; NOR MAY WE , who are already LOST AND CONDEMNED BY OUR SINFUL WORKS , dream for a moment that we SHALL BE ABLE TO SAVE OURSELVES BY OUR WORKS !!! You see, dear friends, the first covenant was in these terms,—"You do right, and God will reward you for it. If you deserve life, God will give it to you." Now, as you all know right well, that covenant was broken all to pieces; it was UNABLE TO STAND by reason of the WEAKNESS OF OUR FLESH AND THE CORRUPTNESS OF OUR NATURE. So God set aside that first covenant, He put it away as an outworn and useless thing; and He brought in a NEW covenant,—the COVENANT OF GRACE; and in our text we see what is the tenor of it: "I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts." This is one of the most glorious promises that ever fell from the lips of infinite love. God said not, "I will come again, as I came on Sinai, and thunder at them." No, but, "I will come in gentleness and mercy, and find a way into their hearts." He said not, "I will take two great tables of stone, and with my finger write out my law before their eyes." No, but, "I will put my finger upon their hearts, and there will I write my law." He said not, "I will give promises and threatenings that shall be the safeguard of this new covenant;" but, "I will with my Spirit graciously operate upon their minds and their hearts, and so I will sweetly influence them to serve me,—not for reward, nor from any servile motive, but because they know me, and they love me, and they feel it to be their delight to walk in the way of my commandments." Take time off and really get to know God's Word. Get into a spirit filled bible church. I pray that you take thi advice for once in your life, or else, God will deal with you about your erroneous teaching on here. God will not allow you to continue to mock His Word forever. Take a bit of advice...for once in your life......take a break and really take time to learn the Word before continuing to post on here. This is my last post to you....and I pray you will listen to the advice given. If not..I have done all I can do to help you now. I leave you in God's hands now. |

Since Jesus is one Entity to you and the Father and Holy Sprit are 2 other entirely different Entities..which one do you pick as your God !!!! You can't worship 3 Gods..so pick one !!! I worship ONE god. Jesus, his Father, and the Holy Spirit are ONE GOD. "One God" to you does NOT mean One Supreme Being as Christians believe...... See Peterpan. God KNEW that NO man coudld KEEP The Law.
IF you have broken one law, you are guilty of breaking them all.... THAT is why God Sent us a SAVIOUR.... to SAVE us and also to help us keep the law now... God IN us now , helps us to keep the Law...by giving us a new nature within, so we can keep God's law now, which is fully written on the tablets of our heart now. But You must be born again, PeterPan , in order to have this new nature within...

twisting what CeriseRose posted. YOU took her post to mean that you do NOT need to be born again afterall!!! Nope....not what her post is saying at all, PeterPan. You still need to be born again , Peterpan....in order to become saved..and also for the law to be FULLY written on your heart now ( the law is NOT FULLY WRITTEN ON YOUR HEART UNTIL YOU ARE BORN AGAIN)....THEN you will obey God with a GLAD heart now....cause you are now able to obey , because God IN you is helping you to obey God gladly now. See...we really are not able to really and truly DELIGHT in GOD'S LAW, UNTIL WE HAVE A NEW NATURE WITHIN!!! Here..this will help explain: But, brethren, the law is not fully written in the heart UNTIL a man, approving the law and appropriating it to himself, feels he delights to obey it. God" is not an entity. God is a word used to show authority. Jesus is our God. Jesus referred to his father as HIS God. And we are referred to gods eg., know ye not that ye are gods, I have said ye are gods, ect". But then comes along a verse that says "even the demons know there is one God, and tremble". So how could there be one God if Jesus is our God, his father is his God, and we are gods? Because again "god" is a word used to show authority, it is the ruler. We are the rulers of this planet in comparison to the animals and what not. And is why Jesus, his Father, and the Holy Ghost are ONE God but yet three different beings YET you just DENIED 2 minutes later you said what you just said on here. I am outta here,and am done. Have better things to do with my time. Cowboy...You know VERY WELL you mean "FAMILY OF GODS" when you say "ONE GOD"....cause "ONE GOD" is just a " TITLE "to you!!
