You know what funny about all the threads about this. It's don't mater who is president or not. Not one has changed nothing to make this country get out of debt and we will be paying for it for the rest of our lives. Presidents are nothing but puppests doing what there told and say they will change thing s and this is why i should be the president. BS nothing has change since day one and if it has. Funy how other people can complain about it and it will be changed and on top of all this BS about politics and what have ya. How long do you think it will be before he is shot! Ill give it a year the most.

a lot of things have changed since "day one". sounds like your a pessimist of biblical proportions.

Things change slowly in America by design. The founders intentionally made it difficult for rapid change to safegaurd the union.

it soulds to me you would prefer a dictatorship so things change at the whim of the leader.

the one thing you and i share is a concern that Obama will be assassinated. let us not forget the screams of "kill him" at the Palin rallies. That said i am optomistic that we are beyond the hatred that would cause such a thing... but another thing to concider is that here in los Angeles there was a riot because police beat Rodney King and got away with it... they dont even know Rodney King and they burned the city.

Imagine what would happen if Obama is shot.

i pray no one is so foolish

Honestly....you must admit...there was nothing about him that we had not seen before.

He had no fresh idea's...he's been in Washington for ever.....but has done nothing impressive, so why would anyone vote for him.

He had Condoleeza Rice, served to him on a platter to be his Vice-President, but instead he chose Sarah Palin...which clearly was a bad decision.

The issue of race was constantly brought up...and in the end, most people that voted for McCain were white....however more whites voted for Obama then McCain....why ?

Is it possible that McCain was really that bad... or they really wanted a change ?

I think you pose the question in a strange way. More whites voted for obama because they believed in him more than McCain. They did that in spite of race. This election was not about the problem of racism. It was about going beyond race. It was seeing that the country in the hands of the current administration was going down fast and the country didnt want anything to do with them or anything like them

McCain. I beleive he is a great man with exceptional sense of honor. That said he lost because his honor in the last 7 years has been bound to a sinking ship that is the 43rd President. He would have helped himself by airing out all the mistakes of the President and how he, McCain, is a real conservative and not Bush.

McCain's Honor would not let him bash the leader of his own party and to that i give him credit, but it hurt him beyond measure.

McCain's other mis-step is Sarah Palin... dead weight. In July polls showed that 13% of the country thought the VP pick mattered. As of last week that number jumped to 30% and something like 60% were saying Palin didnt have what it takes.

Lastly when McCain said "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" and then days later the bottom dropped out of Wall st.... well

Hey Dredz...you just showed hate their yourself my friend...course you are just exercizing your right to free speech...as is the OP and all who posted here.

i dont know if i would call that picture hate. i would call it satire. circulating out and out lies about someone even after it has no effect on the election... thats hate.

See, I get the satire part of it. But to some, that would construe hate. Just saying my friend. I guess it is all in perspective eh?

Well i stand by my statement. i cant argue peoples feelings. i can only argue facts (something that is lacking in this forum).

If we are gonna talk about it; lets!

if i were an american, i'd be thanking president bush for his having prevented any further attacks on american soil since 9/11. ya'll go ahead and laugh but, to me, that, in itself, speaks volumes.

i love this line of logic

its like saying "HEY! I havent been punched in the face! 'Cept for tha one time when i got punched really hard!"

Fact is we got punched.

let me remind you of history

Secretary Rice testifys to the 9/11 Comission

"RICE: I remember very well that the president was aware that there were issues inside the United States. He talked to people about this. But I don't remember the al Qaeda cells as being something that we were told we needed to do something about.

BEN-VENISTE: Isn't it a fact, Dr. Rice, that the August 6 PDB warned against possible attacks in this country? And I ask you whether you recall the title of that PDB?

RICE: I believe the title was, "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States."

Now, the...

BEN-VENISTE: Thank you."

So yeah we havent been punched in a while but when you get a memo titled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States." you have to ask... could we have avoided being punched in the first place???

beastiality is against the law. gay marriage is NOT against the law.

Furthermore being gay is not like having sex with animals... thats just sick where is your brain at? ewww
rofl are you sure?

yes im sure. there is no case that i know of where one species has sexual congress with a different species. however there are many cases of same sex sexual play within the species. so homosexuality, although an anomaly is completely natural. bestiality is unnatural.

If gay people should be allowed to get married you might as well let cats and dogs get married too.

Here in California we have something called Prop 8. A few months ago a lawsuit was in front of some judges and they decided that the Constitution of California says it is illegal to discriminate and has no provision against gay marriage. Therefor gay marriage is legal.

The response to that judgment is Prop 8. Prop 8 will change the Constitution of California to make gay marriage against the law.

I personally cant see why gay couples should have the luxury to avoid the financial curse that is marriage. If thats what they want let them have it.

unless you can see a reason i should vote yes on 8 (yes to change the Constitution of California)

convince me

I second that motion............why should heterosexuals only have to suffer............spousal support, child support, and the division of property..................sh!t give it to them...................misery loves company............laugh laugh laugh

damn right!

It is downtown St. Louis. It shows the Old Courthouse and the Arch. See how it looks with 100,000 people standing there.
It was a sight to see! I was there. We were listening to Obama speak. Can you see me?laugh

The Mississippi River is behind the Arch. See the flag hanging? I'm standing in front of it in my photo.

It's only about 2 and 1/2 minutes long.

Winx, do you think what the teacher said was wrong? he admitted he wasn't sure, the word "claims" is a little bent but other than that at least he didn't say he knew something he didn't and teach your son something that wasn't factual... .

My concern with the statement is that I really don't want my young kids being politically influenced by their teachers. I've had it come from both sides. I welcome the kids having the discussion without an obvious bias from the teacher. Unfortunately teachers are human and have a hard time not showing a bias.

They were in Religion class and discussing other religions.
When they discussed the Muslim religion, a child asked the teacher if Obama was Muslim.

Honestly Winx unders those circumstances, I think he answered to the best of his ability... jmho..

I have to pick the bones on this one. A Teachers job is to deal with fact and every fact says that Obama is a Christian. The only people who keep saying otherwise have an agenda to make Obama into an extremist terrorist figure who shuns Jesus christ and his beloved United States.

I mean really!?!?! Did we not see his Christian Rev. Going bat **** on every news network for weeks on end?

Look i have no love for religion. Black Reverends, Muslim Clerics, Pat Robertson, Catholic Priest... you would think after all the **** we have seen from these leaders of religion people would go back to praying in the privacy of their own home frustrated

anyway i am offtopic

The correct answer to the question from the child is No, he is not a Muslim. Next thing you know the teacher will say "mathematicians claim 2 + 2 = 4 but I'm not sure".

uhggg some one get me an asprin

surprised I seen some people saying Obama was a terrorist and chanting "Kill Him" at a McCain rally on television.shocked Thats crazy.scared When did this sort of conduct become acceptable in public?spock

this is just scary stuff. JFK was shot because of right wing nut jobs.

Imagine what would happen to this country if Obama was shot! i really would leave this country or at least my neighborhood. i live in Los Angeles. i wouldnt want to be here if that happened.

How do you know who shot JFK? Some say it was Castro. JFK used mafia hitmen to assassinate him. Some say the plan turned. Others say it was the Federal Reserve bank, since he is the only president to ever challenge it after it's creation (or so i've heard). Some even think Lee Harvey Oswald was the shooter. Only thing for sure, is now the government freely admits that there was more than one shooter. Why you trying to blame right wing?

BTW the majority of the right wing was actually trying to stand against the bailout. There were some lefties too. That is until extremists from both sides manipulated them...frown

no left wing people would shoot their hero

and what does this thread have to do with the bail out?
